🧑‍🍳 This is the last class of the year, and you don’t want to miss it!!

Scones can be lightly sweetened or savory. They can also be triangular, sweeter, and denser, with more mix-ins like dried fruit, nuts, or glazes. Chef Edurne will teach you how to make British scones with clotted cream, and you will make a recipe of walnut and maple scones, orange almond or strawberry white chocolate scones.

☕️ Friends of Hospice hosted our annual Tea Party friend-raiser this week at the historic Marshall House on Officers’ Row.

Family, friends, and members’ guests gathered for a delightful afternoon of tea, catered by Killa Bites. Laurel Numbers added to the experience with a wonderful selection of freshly brewed teas.

Several wonderful prizes found new homes: the teapot quilt went to the high bidder, while the first member to purchase a ticket to the tea party received a beautiful sunflower plant stake. Another lucky winner took home an adorable purse filled with cash, gift cards, and other goodies.

💕 Special thanks to Laurel’s tea party committee: Mavis, Joan, LynDee, and Lin for their great work in making this event happen. And to Annie, Tiffany, and Dore for volunteering at the event.
