Care Knows No Boundaries shows up where care is needed most. 🐾

Zuni Pueblo, NM is an area with limited access to veterinary services. Free-roaming dogs and the prevalence of diseases like parvovirus, distemper, and tick-borne illness make overpopulation and disease prevention ongoing challenges.

To help address these challenges, three volunteer veterinarians and four volunteer technicians from Banfield Pet Hospital traveled to Zuni Pueblo this spring through our Care Knows No Boundaries program, joining our longtime partners at Humane Society of Tulsa for a three-day clinic focused on expanding access to care.

Together, the team provided care for 493 pets, including 232 spay/neuter surgeries, 261 vaccinations, and treatment for pets with parvovirus. 💉

Care Knows No Boundaries continues to break down barriers to care and create healthier futures for pets. Every surgery, vaccine, and treatment helps reduce pet overpopulation, prevent the spread of disease, and provide critical care that would otherwise be inaccessible.

To our volunteers and our partners at , thank you for your dedication to creating healthier futures for pets and the communities that care for them. 🧡

Join us in celebrating Sadie, a beloved pup who was brought to Banfield Pet Hospital in Happy Valley, OR after her family discovered a concerning mass. Further evaluation confirmed it was a malignant mammary tumor, requiring prompt surgical intervention to give Sadie the best chance at a healthy future.

Faced with both an emotional and financial challenge, Sadie’s owners were determined to do everything possible to help her. With support from HOPE Funds, the veterinary team was able to move forward with surgery and successfully remove the mass completely — a life‑saving outcome for Sadie.

This second chance was made possible by Banfield Foundation’s HOPE Funds program, which helps income‑qualifying pet owners access urgent, life‑saving treatment. Thanks to the generosity of donors, pets like Sadie can receive the care they need when it matters most. 🧡

A heartfelt thank you to the Banfield Pet Hospital Happy Valley team for providing expert care and compassion every step of the way! 🙌

Care Knows No Boundaries in Jackson, Mississippi — a milestone trip more than a year in the making. 🐾

For the first time ever, Banfield Foundation hosted a Care Knows No Boundaries clinic in Jackson, Mississippi. This three-day spay/neuter event focused on expanding access to care for an underserved community of pet owners.

In partnership with Mississippi Spay & Neuter, the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association, and the Mississippi State Veterinarian, this clinic model served as a proof of concept to help address a critical need in a state that continues to face some of the highest animal euthanasia rates in the country.

The event completed spays/neuters along with preventive vaccines for the following number of pets:
🐶 161 dogs cared for
🐱 212 cats cared for

This effort was supported by three members of the Banfield Foundation team, alongside two additional Banfield Pet Hospital CVTs and three DVMs who provided care during the dog spay/neuter portion of the clinic.

A huge THANK YOU to our volunteers, to our partners at and to the state of Mississippi for welcoming our team and for the opportunity to work together to make this incredibly impactful work possible! 🧡

Trip season is officially back, and our volunteers have hit the ground running! 🐾

This month, our Care Knows No Boundaries (CKNB) volunteers joined forces with our incredible partners at The Parker Project to bring compassionate, preventive veterinary care to pets and their people across Navajo Nation.

Spanning more than 27,000 square miles with only a handful of veterinarians, Navajo Nation faces extraordinary barriers to care. The Parker Project has been working tirelessly for years to expand spay/neuter services, vaccinations, and wellness support throughout these communities — all with the goal of keeping animals in the homes that love them. 🏠

On this recent CKNB trip, our six amazing volunteers showed what compassion in action truly looks like:

🔸 200+ spay/neuter surgeries performed
🔸 200 pets vaccinated
🔸 A litter of puppies treated for parvo
🔸 One puppy treated for a broken leg
🔸 Dozens more pets seen for minor illnesses and injuries

To our volunteers and our partners at .parker.project, thank you for meeting these communities with dedication and heart. Together, we’re expanding access to care where it’s needed most and creating a better world for pets, one trip at a time. 🧡

As we step into 2026, we reflect on an extraordinary year and a decade of impact. 🙌

In 2025, we celebrated 10 years of making preventive care possible for pets who need it most, and together, we achieved incredible milestones. Thanks to the unwavering generosity of our donors, the hard work of our volunteers, and the dedication of our program partners, we accomplished:

🐾 Awarded $3M to support preventive care in under-resourced communities across the country
🐾 Helped 142K pets access essential care
🐾 Completed 10.5K volunteer hours through 73 Care Knows No Boundaries trips
🐾 Funded 477 grants to strengthen communities nationwide
🐾 Helped 290+ income-qualifying pet owners access emergency veterinary care through our HOPE Funds program

These numbers demonstrate the power of compassion in action. Last year, we helped bring affordable veterinary care to underserved communities, provided critical support when disasters struck, empowered volunteers to deliver care where it was needed most, and gave families a lifeline during life-threatening emergencies.

Looking ahead, we’re entering the next chapter with even more passion and purpose—expanding access to care and creating healthier futures for pets and the people who love them. 🧡

Care Knows No Boundaries in Kayenta, AZ ✨

Volunteers are critical to delivering care to pets in need, and we celebrate them every day of the year! Last month, our incredible veterinary professionals traveled to Kayenta, Arizona—a remote community with limited access to veterinary services, to make a lasting impact.

Together, they provided preventive care to 346 pets, including vaccinations and flea/tick protection, and identified 63 pets for upcoming spay/neuter surgeries. They also helped rescue four dogs from the streets and are working to ensure an entire litter finds safety and care. 💉

With more than 70 Care Knows No Boundaries trips completed in 2025, this Banfield Foundation program continues to break down barriers to care and create healthier futures for pets in underserved communities. 🐾

A huge THANK YOU to every volunteer who gives their time and talent to make a better world for pets, and to our partners for partnering with us to make this work possible!
