Police Activities League of SW Washington Our mission is to foster and facilitate positive relationships between law enforcement and youth. The ultimate goal? And the best part?

The Police Activities League of SW Washington (PAL of SWWA) is a non-profit organization that partners with law enforcement agencies to build positive relationships between youth and law enforcement through community-based, educational programs and recreational opportunities. To empower our young people to make life enriching choices and to reduce juvenile crime. PAL of SWWA hosts year around, pro

grams for youth of all ages and engages law enforcement and volunteers to coach, mentor and work with youth. PAL is one of the primary crime prevention tools for youth and is also part of community policing plans for several local law enforcement agencies including Vancouver Police Department, Clark County Sheriff's Office, Washington State Patrol, Battle Ground Police Department, Washougal Police Department, Ridgefield Police Department, and Camas Police Department. Through the generous support of our community, PAL of SWWA is able to carry out our mission daily of bringing kids, cops, and community together. The vast majority of our programs are offered at no cost.

📚 What a fantastic month of literacy events! 📚
This May, PAL of SWWA had the pleasure of visiting Union Ridge Elementary in Ridgefield and Sunset Elementary in Vancouver to celebrate the power of reading.
We enjoyed sharing stories, talking about safety, answering students’ questions, and showing off some pretty cool police vehicles! 🚓📖
Thank you to our amazing officers and the staff and students at each school for making these events so much fun. We’re excited to keep the momentum going with one more literacy event at La Center Elementary later this week!

Big shoutout to our Q1 2026 Law Enforcement Volunteer of the Quarter 🎉
Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Levi Krout with the Washington State Patrol has been making a huge impact at Safety City and as a PAL Patrol officer at La Center Elementary for the past 2 years. Partnering with 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Billington, Levi consistently goes above and beyond to create meaningful, fun, and memorable experiences for his class.
From leading engaging activities and crafts to teaching important safety topics and celebrating holidays together—his dedication truly stands out. Most recently, he surprised each student with their own Easter basket for their class egg hunt 🐣
Levi’s genuine care for his students shines through in everything he does. His energy, creativity, and commitment make a lasting difference, and we are so grateful to have him as part of the PAL family and to honor him with this award!

All camps will be filled on a first come, first serve basis and spots fill quick! In the event a camp is full, participants will be placed on a waitlist. 2026 summer camps are $25 per participant.

As always, scholarships are available upon request.
