Event Details:
The Film: “1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture” follows the journey of tireless researchers who traced the origins of the anti-gay movement back to a specific mistranslation in the 1946 Revised Standard Version of the Bible. Chronicling the discovery of never-before-seen archives, the film challenges deeply held assumptions and opens a new door for understanding and inclusion.
The Dialogue: A live Q&A panel featuring local Christian and LGBTQ+ leaders.
The Moment: A public apology from members of the local Christian community, marking an intentional step toward healing historical divides and building a more inclusive future.
