The FISH team had a blast supporting Clark County Food Bank at their annual fundraiser Tacos & Taps! We collaborate with the CCFB team daily - whether it’s planning the orders with Kieran, asking Tina for help with a question, or hitting up Emily for some guidance. We work hard together on our aligned missions to bring food to folks in need, so it was a real treat to spend a night of fun supporting the work they do for the community and pantries like us!

Heads up! On Thursday afternoon our parking lots will be getting some much needed TLC. Unfortunately the company will need to start work during our normal operating hours, so starting at noon clients will need to enter through our gate on Harney Street and park either on the street or in the business park lot across the street on Harney (the Veteran's Center, Real You Electrolysis, etc).

Ping Identity belives in enhancing and serving the communities in which they live & work - so they came to FISH recently to do a group sort! They had a blast with our volunteer Clark sorting through a wide variety of donations and organizing them so we can stock our shelves and get food to the folks who need it. Big thanks to the team for spending some time with us!

The past few weeks we have been seeing record numbers at our snack window, which primarily serves our unhoused clients. For 25 days in a row we've served 100+ people each day at the window - our new record is 171 individuals in a single day!

This population has specific needs - nutrition, portability, and shelf stability is key. If you are looking to donate to FISH, please consider including some of the below items. It will make a big difference in ensuring we can get food to our most vulnerable!

Thanks to the team at HP for spending a day with us to sort food! HP believes companies should do more than just make a profit - they should make the world a better place. The Vancouver team showed us that philosophy in action, sorting through thousands of pounds of food so we can get it to people in need throughout our community!

We will be closed this Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. Be sure to stop in this week to stock up for the long weekend! We will reopen for our normal hours on Tuesday, May 26th from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Kiwanis of Fort Vancouver & Key Club knocked it out of the park on their recent sort! They managed to sort through 2.5 pallets in just two hours - that's approximately 3,750 pounds of food ready to stock on our pantry shelves. We are so thankful for their support!

Reminder: Due to the upcoming holiday, this month's Saturday opening is tomorrow, May 16th from 10 AM - 12 PM. We'll see you there!

Help us spread the word: FISH is always looking for volunteers to add to our amazing crew! Our volunteers do so much to help us run every day - from stocking, to checking in clients, sorting through donations, to serving the unhoused at our snack window. Their work makes a big difference in the lives of so many - in 2025, we distributed over 2.4 million pounds of food. We cannot do that level of work without our amazing team of volunteers!
