It has been a wild time since I last chatted with you. First of all, thank you to everyone who has donated to this Go Fund Me and sent checks and Zelles and Venmos. I appreciate everyone’s help and some of you even donated a couple of times! That means so much, fam. Thank you! Special shout out to my WGHS ’77 and NCSA ’95 classmates…I love y’all.

I have yet to receive any funds from the gatekeepers for Oregon Paid Medical Leave so we have been relying on our savings and y’all! You have made it possible for us to make it so far. Hopefully, the Paid Medical Leave will come through while I am still doing chemo. Ah, government timelines…

According to oncologist extraordinaire, Dr Gina, there will be more imaging after Chemo #3 so we can see where we are and what the next steps need to be. Chemo #3 had to be postponed a week because I got a little infection and she wants the antibiotics to have time to work before hitting my body with the heavy chemo artillery. As a reminder, wear masks in crowded places and wash your hands often: you never know when someone nearby has a vulnerable immune system and could use the extra help.

That’s all for now. Brian & Lauren are putting new dates on the SIGN UP GENIUS: HAASE-LANIER SUPPORT TEAM 2024 after we meet this week so be on the lookout. Thank you again for sending cool animal and baby videos: they really lift my spirits. I am a lucky person to have so many people supporting me. Asking for help is hard on a good day. You all continue to be my rock during this very trying time. Link in the comments.

Sending big love to y’all,
Jen ( Jenny to my North Carolina crew )

I definitely want to see this.. HISTORY

The AIDS Memorial Quilt was conceived in 1985 by human rights activist Cleve Jones as a way of memorializing those who had died of AIDS, helping others understand the devastating impact of the disease, and documenting the many lives he feared history would forget. Our Story

Vancouver USA PRIDE is the Organization who put on the PRIDE Event in Vancouver, WA each year on the 2nd Saturday in July. The Event is “Saturday in the Park PRIDE” which was named after the famous song by the band Chicago.

Vancouver USA PRIDE also provides scholarships, educational materials and services to the general public about LGBTQ Issues and Concerns. From time to time, we also have workshops for LGBTQ People traveling around the USA and overseas.

The Bonnie J Tinker Scholarship is open to all who are LGBTQ or LGBTQ Allies. You can go to our website at http://www.bjtscholarship.com to learn more about the scholarship and to apply. The Application can be downloaded.

The Organization also honors the community, individuals, businesses, and other organizations who have made a positive impact for the LGBTQ People and their families in SW Washington. The Justin M Taylor Community Awards can be found on its own page.
