Trey Foote Foundation

Trey Foote Foundation "Fighting Hard Everyday Against Cancer" Trey made sure that he treated everyday like the gift it was and lived every moment to its fullest.

Trey Foote was the epitome of a happy go lucky teenager when in 2004 he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer, at the age of 17. Over the next 2 years he fought hard every day against his disease while never losing his positive attitude, sense of humor or trademark mischievous grin. Never wanting to be viewed as the weak or as “that sick kid”, he made sure that those a

round him were uplifted by his presence and just by being himself touched everyone around him. Through his strength he inspired his family, friends, classmates and an entire community. On October19, 2006 Trey passed away surrounded by those who loved him most. We mark October 19th each year not as a day of mourning but as the day Trey finally became cancer free, and to celebrate the lessons he taught us during the brief time we had with him. The Trey Foote Foundation was established as a living embodiment of Trey’s positive impact on the world and as a continuation of his fight against childhood cancers. The Trey Foote Foundation Scholarship is awarded yearly to an outstanding Skyview High School student who best exemplifies Trey’s spirit. The Foundation also works tirelessly to support the research of Dr. Charles Keller, head researcher at the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Pediatric Cancer Biology Program. Dr. Keller’s community based efforts focus on improving treatment of childhood cancers and working towards their eradication. We invite you to join us and Fight Hard against cancer so that we may always keep Trey alive by giving the children of the world more good days. The Trey Foote Foundation is a 501C3 Non Profit Organization.

🎗Osteosarcoma or osteogenic sarcoma (also known as OS or osteo) is an aggressive malignant primary bone cancer. With 800-1,000 cases a year diagnosed in the United States, OS is the most prevalent bone cancer affecting children and adolescents/young adults.

Even though this cancer has been found in the bones of dinosaurs, standard treatment is over 40 years old. Our kids are losing their limbs and their lives to this disease. We need to Make It Better. This work belongs to all of us.
