PDDBM is a community-driven nonprofit empowering African American/Black communities, particularly children of color, through education, opportunity, and cultural enrichment. Our mission, "Empowering Lives, Building Equity," signifies our commitment to breaking barriers for a

future where everyone thrives. We host events, workshops, and campaigns addressing mental health challenges, offering resources like hotlines and mental health awareness products. Our diverse product line, including apparel and educational materials, supports scholarships, diversity training, and youth empowerment programs. PDDBM's unique approach involves multifaceted initiatives like film programs, journalism, and fashion, fostering creativity and skill development. Our core values—Equity, Education, Inclusivity, Empowerment, and Advocacy—guide us toward a future of equality and empowerment. Join us on this transformative journey for a brighter future. Established in March 2007, PDDBM emerged to address the lack of positive media for Black males. Initially focused on their challenges, the organization broadened its mission in February 2015 to advocate for African Americans of all ages. PDDBM strives to bridge socioeconomic gaps by promoting equity in education, employment, and resources. Recognizing systemic racism's impact, PDDBM aims to break barriers, uplift communities, and combat disparities in health and education. Attaining non-profit status in July 2023, PDDBM solidifies its commitment to a brighter future for all African Americans/Blacks.

🖤❤️💚 Keep the Legacy Alive

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is not just a moment in history—it is a responsibility.

Let's continue to uplift one another, mentor our youth, support our elders, and strengthen our communities through education, service, and love.

The greatest way to honor our ancestors is to keep building the legacy they dreamed of.

❤️ Learn.
💚 Lead.
🖤 Lift Others.

If you don’t have air conditioning in your home, try these tips to keep your house cool.

If you can’t stay cool in your home, visit a public place with AC (like a library or mall), a friend’s house or a local cooling center.

Even short periods in AC can give your body a break and help prevent heat illness.
