Crown Park got a major makeover, and it's looking fantastic! 🌳🎉

Join the grand reopening on July 2 and be among the first to experience the new playground, splash pad, activities, food trucks, and the kickoff of Camas' Concerts in the Park series. A great reminder of how investments in parks create places for families and communities to connect. 💚

Sean has started training for this year’s Co****le Tournament… there may be a reason we’re raising money for parks instead of professional co****le. 😆

Join us on Aug 1 at Esther Short Park for an afternoon of friendly competition, cold drinks in the beer & wine garden, great food, raffle prizes, and most importantly, a chance to enjoy one of Clark County’s great parks with friends, family, and neighbors.

You don’t have to be a co****le expert to have a great time. Grab a partner, spend the day outdoors, and help support local parks, trails, and recreation programs.

Free fishing this weekend!

No license? No problem. 🎣 This weekend (June 6–7) is Washington’s Free Fishing Weekend, and you won't need a Discover Pass either!

Southwest Washington has plenty of options depending on your style:

🐟 Head to heavily stocked favorites like Klineline Pond, Battle Ground Lake, or Lacamas and Round Lake to fish for trout, bass, and warm-water game fish without a license. Or head up to Lake Merwin and Yale Reservoir to catch Kokanee.

🌲 Drive east to the Columbia River Gorge and explore the tributary mouths or set up along the shoreline. Tip: The lower Columbia is great for harvesting American shad right now—which is one of the main river species included in the free weekend!

(Note: While licenses are waived for game fish, trout, kokanee, and shad, you still need a license if you are targeting salmon, steelhead, sturgeon, or shellfish. All usual catch and size limits apply!)

See Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife for more details!

The Parks Foundation of Clark County was honored to attend today’s Salmon Run Bell Tower rededication at Propstra Square in Esther Short Park.

The event brought together community leaders, Tribal representatives, and residents to celebrate the history, culture, and significance of salmon in our region. Moments like these remind us that parks and public spaces are more than gathering places—they’re where stories, traditions, and community connections live on.

Building the foundation for tomorrow starts with community. 🌱

Today, a few of the Parks Foundation’s team attended the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington’s Annual Luncheon. We left inspired, energized, and armed with new ideas for engaging our community and strengthening our parks for generations to come.

We’re very grateful for the incredible work the Community Foundation does every day to connect people, ideas, & resources that make SW Washington a better place to live.
