Dear Franklin, Jason Lee, Columbia River and VPS community,

Quan Ren's 13-years of supporting and enriching the Mandarin programs at VPS has reached a milestone as the first classes of students who started learning Mandarin in kindergarten have graduated. This also marks the end of our formal involvement in the program, but not our passion for it. Over the years Quan Ren has collaborated with students, teachers, and families as it has expanded to include three schools across the K-12 landscape. Though we faced some challenges along the way, our vision remained clear - building community by sharing culture and language with all VPS students at Franklin, Jason Lee and Columbia River.

As we are transitioning to a new phase of our advocacy, we are proud of the legacy we have created at each of the schools, such as curriculum & program support, supplies & materials, community connections and the annual festivals and activities organized by Quan Ren's dedicated board and members.

September 2023 will be the final Mid-Autumn Moon Festival hosted by Quan Ren and we hope to see you there.

We sincerely appreciate the value and potential of the Mandarin program and are optimistic that there will be a new evolution of the sense of community, advocacy, inclusivity and diversity that we have embodied and fostered.

We treasure the memories and friendships made during this time and end with the call of 加油 Jiā Yóu!

此致敬礼 cǐ zhì jìng lǐ

With best regards,

Quan Ren Board Members: Chau Axelrod, Amonique Brown, Tania Chan, Kimm Fox Middleton, Tammy Higgins, Heather Rhone, and Timothea Sutton
