🎙️ Final call to join the Youth Truth Channel!
Do you have a story to tell? Want to learn how to create podcasts, produce radio segments, interview community members, and use media to make a difference?
The Youth Truth Channelis OWIES' new youth-run media initiative, where young people build real-world skills in storytelling, journalism, audio production, and civic engagement while creating content that matters to our community.
Youth participants can explore different reporting pathways, including:
🗳️ Youth Voices in Politics
Report on local issues, elections, civic engagement, and advocacy while helping other young people better understand the world around them.
🌱 Youth Food Justice Alliance
Join a stipend-supported youth leadership internship documenting community-led food justice initiatives through storytelling, interviews, field reporting, and audio production.
Participants in the Youth Food Justice Alliance internship will:
• Receive a stipend based on completed Youth Truth Channel segments
• Participate from July 2026–April 2027
• Commit approximately 5–10 hours per month
• Work through a combination of in-person and hybrid activities
