Beginning this week, FVRLibraries is expanding branch hours across the district thanks to the Fort Vancouver Library Foundation and our community supporters! This expansion adds 91 open hours each week- a 13% increase in total service time.

The additional hours include expanded branch access and increased bookmobile service via the new Clark County route, bringing the library services to more communities.

This increase in hours is one of the 2025 Levy Lid Lift commitments promised to voters with the passing of the levy last summer. The Fort Vancouver Library Foundation and all of our Friends of the Libraries played a key role in supporting the successful “Vote Yes” campaign.

FVRLibraries’ Summer Reading program begins June 15th! This summer readers and listeners of all ages are invited to follow your curiosity and see where it takes you. Children track books they read on their own, with an adult, or through an audiobook to earn prizes. New this year, teens and adults will be challenged to a 10-part reading competition with fun prompts.

FVRL Foundation is proud to support this Summer Reading program made possible by generous donors and corporate sponsors.

Register at your local library starting June 15th.

Did you know that you can borrow items like metal detectors, telescopes, and knitting machines from participating FVRLibraries?

The Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation provided funding to launch the Library of Things and is continuing to support this useful collection in its growth and future needs. The next phase of the Library of Things expansion is coming soon and will include more varied items including: musical instruments; STEM toys; devices to help with digitization; yard games; niche kitchen appliances; and the kinds of tools that can help new homeowners and DIYers.

This program brings together the entire district by reading the same book! Catch acclaimed author Emma Pattee at your local community library for an evening of learning and conversation celebrating her novel Tilt.

Community Reads is a program made possible by the generous supporters of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation, Friends of White Salmon Valley Community Library, Friends of Stevenson and North Bonneville Community Libraries, and Friends of Vancouver Community Library.
