Did you know Hough Elementary has a garden club? One afternoon, a student stopped our horticulture director mid-dig to ask what she was doing. When she said she was planting, he asked if he could help, then admitted, "I've never used a shovel. I need you to show me how."

That's the garden club in one sentence: kids trying something new, hands in the dirt, growing right alongside the plants. It's one of Hough Foundation's after-school enrichment programs, led by Mandi Atkinson, open to 1st–5th graders.

Because of You, We Said Yes.

Earlier this year, a family connected to Hough Elementary because they faced a serious medical crisis. As the situation grew more complicated, keeping up with rent became a real fear on top of everything else.

Thanks to generous community support, the Hough Foundation stepped in with emergency rental assistance, giving that family room to breathe and focus on what mattered most.

This is what Give More 24! makes possible. Not just music and gardens, but stability when a family needs it most.

Hi Sip & Stroller attendees! Just as a reminder, you will check in (or buy tickets if you still need them) at our starting point tonight which is at: 1602 Main St- The Burgerville Headquarters.

The event starts at 5, but we will start getting you checked in at 4:30 so you have plenty of time to sip & stroll until 8:30pm.

This Saturday is Sip and Stroll raising money for the Hough Foundation which supports the kids and families of Hough Elementary School.

To help promote walking traffic to some of our shops, we have created the Sip and Stroll Passport, sponsored by MacKay.
Go to each location on the passport and get their logo stamped.
The last location you go to on the passport, get stamp and turn it in to the merchant. We will collect them and have a drawing for an amazing gift basket from Wild Fern!
