For decades, Hough Foundation founder Paul Christensen believed in a simple, powerful promise: children thrive when a community surrounds them with opportunity.

That belief became music, gardens, enrichment, and the support families need to navigate hard moments.

Year-end generosity doesn't always have to come from a checkbook.

Depending on how you give, a Donor-Advised Fund, Qualified Charitable Distribution, or gift of appreciated stock may offer another way to support Hough students and families.

We call it Smart Giving: choosing the giving vehicle that fits you while carrying opportunity forward for Hough kids.

The rules and timing differ by giving method, so start early and work with your financial or tax advisor when appropriate.

Children learn best when they feel safe, connected, and supported.

On World Mental Health Day, we recognize the school counselors, teachers, staff, families, and local providers who help young people navigate hard moments.
Hough Foundation's role is practical: helping families access support and giving school and community partners more ways to respond when a child needs something beyond the classroom.

Mental health care is provided by qualified professionals. Community support helps families reach it and reminds students that they do not have to carry everything alone.

Today is DAF Day.

If you have a Donor-Advised Fund, you've already set charitable dollars aside to make a difference. Today is an opportunity to decide where that generosity can go next.

At the Hough Foundation, it can become an opportunity for a child.

It can help keep music and enrichment accessible. It can help a family facing an unexpected crisis. It can give teachers and community partners another way to say yes to Hough kids.
