This week is Construction Safety Week! On the job, safety and strong communication is one of the most valued practices in the building industry. Planning with purpose, owning our actions, and committing to safety all help create a work environment where everyone thrives.

May 6th is National Skilled Trades Day, which serves as a day to recognize and raise awareness for the skilled trades deficit in the United States. Today, we also celebrate those working in the trades, who are truly responsible for keeping our country running!

Construction Safety Week 2026 builds off the headline “All In Together” and the progress we’ve made. We’re centering around three pillars: Recognize, Respond, and Respect to build a unified call to action on high energy, high hazard work to prevent serious injuries and fatalities.

Let's give a warm welcome to the newest member of our executive team, Ingrid Bradley! 👏🩷

Ingrid will be serving as our 2026 Treasurer, and we are so glad to have her on the team! She has been extremely involved in all things PWB and BIA of Clark County - from volunteering at events to being the opening speaker at our 2026 Pink Hard Hat Awards. Ingrid has an extensive background in Land Use Planning and Real Estate, making her a pro in the industry and a great asset for our council. 💪
