Fourth Plain Community Commons Honored for Community Impact in National Golden Whisk Awards!! Winners to Be Announced October 14th at the Herreshoff Marine Museum in Bristol, Rhode Island.
The Fourth Plain Community Commons has been named a finalist for the Community Impact Award for the third annual Golden Whisk Awards, the only national celebration of shared kitchen innovation and leadership, hosted by The Food Corridor !
This award honors a shared kitchen or individual that has made a profound and positive difference in their community whether through educational programs, local partnerships, charitable initiatives, or efforts to fight food insecurity. Finalists in this category use their kitchens as a force for good, driving meaningful change and building stronger, more inclusive food ecosystems.

The Food Corridor has been an important part of that journey, streamlining the many moving parts of managing a shared kitchen while remaining accessible to the diverse entrepreneurs who use the space.
That efficiency allows more time to be invested in people helping businesses” said Angel(a) Jenkins Kitchen Manager of Fourth Plain Community Commons. Angela has supported 200+ food entrepreneurs through the "Plain Path Forward" model, created a $20,000 scholarship for minority owned businesses and her leveraged food access efforts have provided 4,000+meals 400+ meal sacks and over a 1/2 ton of fresh food and produce to the community.
The winners will be announced live on October 14th, at the Herreshoff Marine Museum in Bristol, Rhode Island, at the conclusion of the The Shared Kitchen Summit, where shared kitchen operators from across the country will gather to celebrate excellence in community building, mentorship, operational excellence, and innovation. Other award categories include Community Impact Award, Shared Kitchen Mentor of the Year, Shared Kitchen Industry Champion, Kitchen Incubator of the Year, and Shared Kitchen of the Year!
