Our Club's July Service Project was a school supplies drive for Vancouver Public Schools. How did that turn out? Well, how about 350 Composition Notebooks, 500 PeeChee style folders, and THREE huge shopping bag full Pens, Pencils and Glue Sticks!! Check out the photos!

Our first meeting of this Rotary year was awesome. Our special guests were Area Governor George Capacci and District Governor Renée Fontenot. DG Renée presented her vision for the 2026-27 Rotary year and encouraged innovative ways to get Rotary out in the community, partnerships with other clubs and organizations, and ways to serve to Create Lasting Impact, Rotary International’s theme for this year.

What a turnout and we had fun, which, by the way, is the unofficial fifth question in the Four Way Test (“Will it be fun?”).

As always, our meetings start off with a social half-hour, followed by our regular program. Besides DG Renée, highlights of our meeting included Sue Simon being presented with a Paul Harris Fellow recognition, Sue Coates receiving the DG’s Groundbreaker award, and hearing about all of the upcoming activities and service projects for our Club.

This month’s service project was a school supply drive for Vancouver Public Schools.

Next up: a Club social at Dan Sockle’s house, and our next Club meeting at Columbia Ridge Winery on August 6.

WE'RE SORRY TO HAVE TO DO THIS AT THE LAST MINUTE, BUT THE SPECIAL DEDICATION HAS BEEN POSTPONED.

We just received word from our bench builders that the bench will not be finished in time for our Club meeting on July 16. We are working now to confirm August 6 as the rescheduled date (next Club meeting after July 16) for this special dedication.

Our July 16 regular Club meeting is still happening, though.

5:30 p.m. Columbia Ridge Winery
3006 NW 199th St, Ridgefield, WA 98642

Late last year, we lost a beloved member of our Rotary club, and the Clark County community as a whole, when David Wetmore passed away. David always stepped up to volunteer for our projects, and who could miss that friendly smile!

We will be honoring David’s memory by dedicating a special bench to be placed at Columbia Ridge Winery, where our Club regularly meets. His family will be there to help us with the dedication.

We will do this at the start of our regular meeting on Thursday, July 16, at 5:30 p.m. Or feel free to join us for our social time which begins at 5:00 p.m. Assisting us in this dedication will be our District Governor, Renee Fontenot, and Area Governor, George Capacci.

From all of us at the Rotary Club of Three Creeks, thank you, Susanne Holmberg, for an incredible year of leadership as our District 5100 Governor. We wish you all the best as you close this chapter, and we’re grateful for the inspiration, encouragement, and impact you’ve shared along the way. 💙

Today, I hang up my District Governor jacket.

What a year. 365 days of showing up, leaning in, learning, laughing, stretching, and yes… occasionally wondering what I got myself into.

When I stepped into this role, I carried a simple personal vision:
To inspire others.
To challenge the ordinary.
To provoke change.
To seek opportunities.

I don’t know if we hit the mark every time — but I do know this: I gave it my whole heart. And along the way, I was the one who ended up inspired… by all of you.

By your passion.
By your service.
By your courage to try something new, to grow, and to lead.

If this past year sparked even one new idea, one new connection, one bold step forward—then it was worth every single moment.

Rotary is not about a title or a jacket. It’s about people. And I have been incredibly lucky to walk alongside the very best.

Thank you for trusting me, challenging me, and reminding me what’s possible when we truly unite for good.

The jacket comes off today…

…but the impact? That’s just getting started.
