Renaissance Pointe is a beautification project for the approximately 1.5 acre property at the terminus of the waterfront trail that runs in front of Beaches restaurant.

Spokane County Sheriff’s Sergeant Killed in the Line of Duty

It is with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office confirms the line-of-duty loss of a Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant, a member of our agency and law enforcement family.

On August 9, 2025, at approximately 7:40 am, a Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant was tragically killed when he was struck by a motorist while assisting with a large traffic hazard on eastbound I-90 near the Four Lakes exit.

Spokane County Sheriff John Nowels will provide additional information later this afternoon at the Public Safety Building.

🖤💚 Honoring a Hero: Sergeant Brad Crawford 🖤💚

Today marks 21 years since CCSO Sergeant Brad Crawford gave his life in the line of duty (EOW: July 30, 2004).

Sgt. Crawford was a devoted family man, a friend to many, and someone who could always bring laughter to the room. His love for his community and dedication to protecting it were unwavering.

Today, we honor Sgt. Crawford’s legacy, his courage, and the life he lived in service to others. Please keep his family, friends, and colleagues in your thoughts.

Sgt. Crawford’s sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🙏

💔 Our hearts are with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the families of the three veteran deputies who died during an explosion at a training facility this morning. This marks the largest loss of life in the department’s history since 1857.

We stand with our brothers and sisters in mourning as they grieve this unimaginable tragedy.
