Meeting Professionals International Washington State Chapter

Meeting Professionals International Washington State Chapter MPIWSC is a place to connect with other members of MPIWSC and find out about upcoming events. The MPI Washington State Chapter was chartered on May 26, 1981.

In 1981, we started the Chapter with 50 members and grew to 300 members by
the end of 2005-2006. The Chapter has a very distinct demographic of members
with the blend of Eastern and Western Washington and has a strong Planner to
Supplier ratio of 45% to 55%. MPIWSC conducts more monthly educational programs (8 total) per year
than most chapters. We have participated in joint ventures with the

MPI Oregon Chapter in March by producing the Cascadia Educational Conference
and with PCMA's Pacific Northwest Chapter in producing The Meetings Industry
Summit held each September. We are a financially sound Chapter and were one
of the first chapters to have its own website. The Chapter focuses on providing its membership with the ability and
opportunities to: ADVANCE through education; CONNECT with industry peers;
DEVELOP partnerships; and CHANGE the world.

We’re proud to recognize Angela May, Sales Manager at Element Seattle, as the inaugural recipient of the MPI Washington State Chapter Ignite Scholarship.

Angela’s commitment to giving back and showing up for her community embodies the spirit behind this scholarship. Through her involvement with organizations including WISE Seattle, the American Marketing Association, Seattle Children’s Hospital Guild, Kirkland Rotary, and local school districts, she has demonstrated that hospitality and leadership extend far beyond the workplace.
