The Wednesday walk on August 26 will be at Foothills Park--199 Foothills Drive in Lake Oswego.
Join a 5 km (3.1 miles) or 10 km (6.2 miles) guided group walk. Walk in Foothills Park and along the Willamette River, then through Lake Oswego commercial area with its many art works. The 10 km will go into Tryon Creek Park. The 5K walk is rated 1A, easy and the 10K is rated 2B, moderately easy. We walk about 3 miles per hour.
Register between 9:10 and 9:25 AM in the picnic area. Please arrive early to sign in so the walks can start on time.
Directions: I-5 south or north bound take Exit 297 right to Terwilliger Blvd. Right on Terwilliger Blvd to its end at State St. (Hwy 43). Right on State Street about 5 blocks to Foothills Rd. Left on Foothills Rd. Right at Traffic light and continue to the restrooms at the end of the street by the shelter.

Wednesday, August 18, we'll be walking at the Grotto in NE Portland:
Join a 5 km or 10 km guided group walk. The walk will have 2 five km loops. The first loop will leave The Grotto and walk in nice neighborhoods in the Rose City Neighborhood. The second loop will go thru The Grotto and Maywood Park.

The walk will start inside The Grotto and loop the lower level with the Stations of the Cross, then go into nice residential areas in Maywood Park and Rose City. 1 km option for those that would like to walk the upper loop with beautiful gardens and great views. There is a fee to enter the upper level but very worth it. These walks are rated 1A, easy. We walk about 3 miles per hour.

Registration will be from 9:10 am - 9:25 am. Please arrive early to sign in so the walks can start at 9:30 am.

I-205 Northbound take exit 23B (Sandy Blvd W). Straight at first light. Right on Sandy Blvd to 85th Ave. Left into The Grotto parking. Park near Sandy Blvd.
I-205 Southbound: Exit 23. Right on Killingsworth to first light. Right and continue right on Sandy Blvd to 85th Ave. Left into The Grotto Parking lot.
Please park away from the entrance.

Wednesday, August 12 we'll be walking in old Portland. We'll meet to start at Floyd's Coffee House and Wine Bar, 1996 SE Ladd Ave. Register between 9:15 and 9:25 am for a 9:30 start. We'll be outside the restaurant.
Walk through a uniquely laid out neighborhood with huge shade trees, historic homes & traffic circles with rose gardens. You will see some very small statues placed on rocks.
The walk options are 5 km and 10 km, and the rating is 1A (flat, mostly or completely paved). Please consider a donation of $2 to keep our club activities going.

The Wedneday walk was cancelled this week due to the high forecast temperature and will instead be held on Saturday, August 8! We'll also be starting earlier to beat the heat.
The walk will be in the Hazel Dell area.
Meet at Safeway at 408 NE 81st St. Registration is between 8:40 and 8:55 am and the walk begins at 9. The options are 5 km (3.1 mile) and 10 km (6.2 mile) and the routes are rated 1A (no elevation gain/paved or mostly paved).
No fee but please consider a $2 donation to keep the club going and offering walks.

Wednesday Walking this week, July 29, will be at Lacamas Lake. Meet in the parking lot at Heritage Park, 303 NW Lake Rd, Camas, WA between 9:40 and 9:55 a.m. to register. The walk begins at 10 a.m.
Join a group 5 km or 10 km walk. Route is on Heritage Trail, a lovely wooded nature path meandering through old growth trees, native plants and lovely homes beside beautiful Lacamas Lake. These walks are rated 1B, easy, with unpaved trail surface. We walk about 3 miles per hour.
Please arrive early to sign in so the walks can start at 10 am, and consider a $3.00 donation so we can continue our walks.
