Wednesday June 17th, we will be offering a 5 km or 10 km guided group walk in Wilsonville. Pass by the Korean War Veterans Memorial in the Town Center Park and walk through pleasant neighborhoods. The 10km trail passes Wilsonville High School and continues to Memorial Park where you will walk on wooded trails by the Willamette River. There is a Peace Pole in the Town Center Park. The 5km is rated 1B (easy) and the 10km is rated 2B (moderate). We walk about 3 miles per hour.
Meet at Safeway, 8255 SW Wilsonville Rd., Wilsonville, OR. Sign in will be from 9:40 am - 9:55 am. Please arrive early to sign in so the walks can start at 10 am.
Look for us in the parking lot.

This is not a Wednesday Walk, but a Thursday walk, on June 4, put on by the Willamette Wanderers club.
Join us for a 5K or 10K guided walk. This walk focuses on the Fanno Creek Trail, which runs throughout Tigard through parks, forested areas and business/residential areas. Also seen on the walk is the actual Tigard downtown with interesting shops/art/Heritage Trail. Walk is on paved sidewalks. This walk rated 1A, easy. Registration will be open from 8:45 am - 9 am. Please arrive early to sign in so the walk can start at 9 AM.
Walkers can do this walk on their own with written directions/maps. The routes follow the Fanno Creek Trail which go through the small downtown and along parks and residential areas.
Driving to the start:
Tigard Public Library, 13500 SW Hall Blvd, Tigard, OR. I-5 northbound: exit 290, be in inner left lane as you turn Left on Boones Ferry Rd, Quick Right on 72nd & then Left on Durham Rd, Right on Hall Blvd in about a mile. Right on Wall St in a mile at traffic light to library. I-5 southbound: exit 293 toward Haines St taking you Right on Dartmouth; Left on 72nd at traffic light for 2 1/4 miles; Right on Durham Rd for about 1 mile; Right on Hall Blvd for 1 mile; Right on Wall to library at traffic light. Registration in parking lot.
There will be group walks for both 5k/10k routes at 9 AM, but library restrooms open at 9 AM.

Wednesday Walking this week, May 27 is the Glendoveer Golf Course route. Meet between 9:40 and 9:55 a.m. at the Glendoveer Golf course NE parking lot on the corner of NE 148th & NE Halsey.
This is not the parking at the clubhouse but on the opposite side (the NE Corner of Glendoveer).
This group walk will take you through quiet neighborhoods on sidewalks and streets, including a two-mile circuit of the Glendoveer Fitness Trail on bark dust around the golf course. Pets are not allowed at Glendoveer. The distances offered are 5 and 10 km rated 1B (easy).

Wednesday Walking May 20 will be in Lake Oswego. Meet at Safeway but use street parking next to Safeway, 401 A Ave.
Sign in from 9:40 am to 9:55 am. Please arrive early to sign in so the walks can start at 10 am.
Join a group 5 km or 10 km walk. Gallery without Walls is an outdoor exhibit of over 75 permanent and loaned works of art in Lake Oswego. There are 30 sculptures downtown. The walk will go by many of these sculptures. The 10 km will also go into Tryon Creek State Park. The 5K walk is rated 1A (easy) and the 10K is rated 2B, moderate hills on well groomed trails (500 to 1500 feet). We walk about 3 miles per hour.
**Parking is for Customers Only! Please use on-street parking, there are areas with 4 hour parking available nearby the store. Restrooms are available at the back of store to the left of the pharmacy or by the florist area - Code is needed**

Wednesday walking this week for May 13 is our Whipple Creek walk.
Join us for a 5 km or 10 km guided group walk. The route is in new neighborhoods & goes through several parks. The 10 km route is mainly on city sidewalks & a graveled country road. The 5 km route is in the neighborhoods & does not go to Whipple Creek Park.
Start point is at the Salmon Creek Fred Meyer. Meet at the middle front entrance to register. Sign in will be from 9:40 am - 9:55 am. Please arrive early to sign in so the walks can start at 10 am.
We walk about 3 miles per hour.
Directions: 800 NE Tenney Rd, Northbound - take the NE 134th St exit from I-5 (Exit #7) or I-205 (Exit #36). Turn left (west) on 134th St. Southbound - from I-5 take the I-205 exit ( #7) & in a short distance take the 134th St exit ( #36). Turn right (west) on 134th St. In either case, proceed 1/2 mile on 134th St to the Fred Meyer store on right.

Group walk for May 6 is in Beaverton!
Meet the leaders to register between 9:40 and 9:55 AM at the Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation Athletic Center, 50 NW 158th Ave, at the back of parking lot.
This route is the Waterhouse Boardwalk Walk, going through wetlands, woods, parks,
neighborhoods, and the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation Center area. Enjoy nature while walking along scenic boardwalks and through neighborhood streets and connecting pathways.
Heavy or prolonged rain can result in submerged or muddy sections.
5 and 10 km walks rated 1B (easy).

Let's walk in Battle Ground this week!
Wednesday group walk for April 29: meet at the Safeway, 904 Main Street, between 9:40 and 9:55 AM.
There are two loops, a 5 km and 6 km loop that include four parks, passing by several
craft/resale/vintage/antique stores, an attractive Veteran's Memorial and several restaurants. There is a peace pole on the 6 km loop.
5 and 6km both rated 1A (easy).

Wednesday walk on April 22 is at Reed College.
Meet in the Safeway Parking Lot, 4515 SE Woodstock, Portland Oregon, between 9:40 TO 9:55 a.m.
The walk features the lovely Eastmoreland residential area, several city parks, and the
Reed College Campus. The walk has a one km addition into the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens. A fee is charged to enter the Gardens. The group walk will not enter the Gardens.
5 km route is rated 1A and 10 km rated 1B (easy).

Wednesday April 15 will bring a scenic group walk featuring a complete circuit of Red Sunset Park where you can do some duck watching and take a break at the gazebo. Much of the walk is residential areas. These walks are rated 1A, easy. Distances are 5 km or 10 km walk. We walk about 3 miles per hour.
Meet at The Home Depot, 25101 SE Stark St., Troutdale, OR to register between 9:40 to 9:55 am. Please arrive early to sign in so the walk can start at 10 am. Look for us in the parking lot near Burger King.
