The VPS bargaining team presented their last, best offer to VEA earlier this week. The VEA Executive Board has reviewed the district’s offer and now it’s time for our members to review and vote.

VEA’s anti-pink slip campaign continued last week when members and community showed up at Tuesday’s board meeting to denounce the District’s financial mismanagement and excessive RIF notices. The fight for fully staffed schools is not over, stay tuned for VEA’s next steps!!

Today, VPS educators and VEA members stepped away from their classrooms to stand up for something fundamental: safety. Ongoing concerns cannot be ignored. When threats impact a school community, immediate action isn’t optional — it’s essential. Our staff and students deserve better.

About half of Fort Vancouver High’s teachers walked out of school Wednesday morning because of safety concerns raised by social media posts.
