My greatest fear is not being the example at home for my kids and my family. Growing up in church we are always used to reaching out, ministering to others, as leaders we have been given a platform to do our part in leading and guiding. Sometimes that platform and type of motivation can mislead ourselves if not careful. If the platform becomes bigger than the call, many times we can come home and take "that" coat off. I am reminded this week, my actions, my words, my tone, my heart, is a living epistle read by the world - my home church - my kids and my husband, my household! If I can do this right, I have set them up for success and a ripple effect of serving God compassionately and wholeheartedly will follow. If I do not do this right, it will be a continuity of a dead-end Christian.
Prayer: Lord, help me to be genuinely sold out for you here, right here at my very home, within my four corners with my babies and my husband and all who are within my household. Help me to conquer my heart daily, let my life bring forth YOUR aroma that will pe*****te their hearts so that they will independently follow you when the time comes, motivated by YOUR presence, YOUR Word, YOUR power! Oh God, change me! From the inside out! Help me so I can help my family, so we can ALL make it to Heaven where you have prepared such a glorious mansion for us to be with you. I am humbled - Amen.
