Our Free Community Play Day is back Saturday, October 17 at the Vancouver Arts Hub.

Bring the little ones, follow their curiosity, explore together, or just find a cozy spot to take a break while they play. There’s no wrong way to play!

$13,000 raised for Columbia Play Project! 💛

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up for Columbia Play Project during this year’s ! Your generosity helped us raise $13,000 to support our mission of bringing joyful, hands-on learning and play to children throughout Southwest Washington.

A huge thank you to every individual who donated, shared our campaign, stopped by to celebrate with us, and helped spread the word. Every gift, at every level, helped make this possible.

We’re especially grateful to Paul and Debbie Speer, whose generous $4K matching gift helped every donation go even further.

Bricktastic! The brick-building LEGO extravaganza returns this fall 🏗️✨

Bricktastic! brings together children, caregivers, hobbyists, artists, engineers, educators, and LEGO enthusiasts for a day filled with building challenges, collaborative engineering, creative showcases, and hands-on STREAM experiences inspired by Lego!

Last year, local builders showed us what they could dream up - from architecture and robots to landscapes, monsters, vehicles, kits, and more. This year, we can’t wait to see what’s built next.

We’re still putting all the pieces together, so consider this your official save-the-date, with more details to follow 👀

Your child doesn't need another class. They need free play. 👏

We pack their schedules with the best intentions...But sometimes what kids need most is the opposite of structure.

📅 Here are 3 signs it's time to clear the calendar:

1. They don't know how to entertain themselves. If "I'm bored" is a crisis in your house, that's a signal. Boredom is actually where creativity starts, kids just need practice sitting in it.

2. They struggle to problem-solve without an adult stepping in. Unstructured play is where kids learn to figure things out on their own. Without it, they lose the chance to build that muscle.

3. They're overstimulated but still restless. More activities don't always mean more engagement. Sometimes the constant input leaves kids wound up and unable to settle, free play gives their brains room to breathe.
