We put blankets out yesterday at Vanceburg's Post Office for the homeless and any one in need. They were all gone when we checked today. So, if you are out in the Vanceburg area and have a new or gently used blanket please put it in the bin at the Post Office for others in need. It's going to be cold again tonight.

The winter season has come again, but that’s not what this post is about. Yes, the mission is still happening and we are continue to work on getting fund’s/material for donation boxes.

I want to share my own experiences that I had this year being some what homeless. It has made me more passionate about this project and having that experience has changed my perspective on some things..

Yes, they need help with everything they can get. But the main thing they need also is people who are willing to have a conversation with them. People who don’t see them living on the streets, rather just them sitting at the park bench with some stuff.

I had very hard days mentally, and I had one man that I’ve grown a fantastic friendship with now, come and visit me everyday for 2 and a half month’s to just talk. Nothing else. Yes, he asked the normal questions. But I’ll never forget it!.

Spend a few minutes with the people you see struggling. It really means a lot! Sometimes they don’t want a dollar or food. They want company..

I was very fortunate when I experienced what I did and had great people by me, and I will never forget the things they did for me. Sincerely Davan
