🎣 VAN HIGH SCHOOL FISHING TEAM – 2026-2027 SIGN UPS ARE OPEN! 🎣

The Van High School Fishing Team is gearing up for another great season, and we’re looking for new and current anglers to join us for the 2026-2027 school year!

Whether you tournament fish every weekend or just want to learn more about the sport, this is a great opportunity to compete in tournaments and represent Van High School on and off the water.

Incoming 9th graders and current high school students are encouraged to sign up!

This year we’re focused on building a fun, organized, and competitive program with more involvement from students and families throughout the season.

State cut was 9.90lbs

Alex and Ross 8.17lbs with a 6.75 big bass

Unfortunately for the rest of our teams it was a really tough day ending our hopes to move onto the state tournament

217 teams are set to compete, and everything is on the line this weekend.

➡️ Top 30% - 65th place and above will ADVANCE to the State Championship

Here’s what teams are fishing for:

🥇 1st Place — $3,500 in scholarships + trophies + $500 sponsor gift cards
🥈 2nd Place — $2,500 in scholarships + plaques + $400 gift cards
🥉 3rd Place — $2,000 in scholarships + plaques + $300 gift cards
🏅 4th–10th Place — Scholarships + plaques + sponsor gift cards
🎯 11th–25th Place — Sponsor gift cards

• 1st — $1,000 scholarship + Costa sunglasses + plaque
• 2nd — $500 scholarship + plaque

This is one of the biggest events of the season — big payouts, big points, and a shot at State on the line.
