We have a busy start to September, so here are a few things to keep in mind! ❤️🤍💙

🍽️ Our September Canteen Menu is here!
Check out all of the lunches, homemade soups, and specials we have planned throughout the month. Lunch is open to the public, so stop in and enjoy a good meal with us!

📅 September 1–5 Weekly Lunch Menu
We're starting the month with Sloppy Joes, Parmesan Chicken Sandwiches, BLTs, Tenderloins, homemade soups and more!
⏰ Lunch served 11:00 AM–2:00 PM

⚠️ AUXILIARY MEMBERS:
There will be NO Auxiliary Dinner or Meeting in September. Several of our Auxiliary members will be away attending the American Legion Auxiliary National Convention, and we'll also be busy helping at the Van Wert County Fair.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and continued support!

🇺🇸 Ever wonder where your Auxiliary dues go?

I know there have been some questions about what our membership dues cover, and maybe you've wondered the same thing. I wanted to share this flyer to help explain where your dues go and how much of each membership actually stays here with Unit 178.

The truth is, only a small portion of your dues remains with our Unit to help cover our everyday operating expenses. That's why our fundraisers, donations, and volunteers are so important to everything we do.

When we ask for help with a dinner, bingo, a fundraiser, an event, or one of our programs, this is why we ask. The money we raise and the time our members volunteer are what allow us to continue helping our veterans, children and youth, schools, military families, and our community.

We completely understand that not everyone can help every time—and we don't expect you to! Whether you give an hour of your time, buy a raffle ticket, donate an item, attend a dinner, help at an event, or simply renew your membership, every little bit of support adds up.

Hopefully this helps answer some questions and gives everyone a better understanding of why we do the fundraising we do and why we're always so grateful when our members step up to help. ❤️🤍💙
