We’re proud to share that our Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Grothouse, has been appointed by Ohio Senate President Rob McColley to serve on the Study Committee to Evaluate the Placement of Delinquent Children in Residential Facilities.

With more than 20 years of experience supporting children and families, Jeff will bring The Marsh Foundation’s perspective to important statewide conversations about placement, available resources, service gaps and how Ohio can better meet the needs of children involved in the juvenile court system.

We’re grateful to have Jeff representing The Marsh and helping give a voice to the children, families and providers doing this important work across Ohio.

Congratulations to Kalissta Miller, our September 2026 Family Teacher in the Spotlight!

Kalissta is a bubbly and energetic Family Teacher who brings creativity, compassion, and authenticity to everything she does. Exceptionally artistic, she finds unique ways to connect with youth and create a welcoming, expressive environment. Her empathetic and nonjudgmental nature allows others to feel heard, valued, and understood, while her kindness shines through in every interaction. She is an attentive listener who meets people where they are, offering support without criticism and encouragement without conditions. She lives life with passion and enthusiasm, blasting her music loud, embracing adventure, and approaching each day with a free spirit and a zest for life that is truly contagious.

Happy Friday from Kevapalooza! 🕺🎉 We celebrated Mr. L’s birthday a little early with a workout featuring 44 reps of every move, colorful lights and plenty of dancing! Mr. L was so excited to celebrate with our youth and make the morning extra fun. Happy early birthday, Mr. L! 🎂💪

Today we took time to celebrate our family teachers by starting their day off with a delicious brunch provided by our amazing kitchen staff!  Look at this spread!
 
Our family teachers don't clock in and out of a job. They stand with our young people through every high and low, showing up consistently with patience, dedication, and heart.  They are the first ones there when a kid is struggling, and the last ones to leave when a crisis hits. They have absorbed challenging situations—and have shown up again the next morning anyway.

Today, they sat with people they don’t always get to see enough, took a breath and later had some fun in monthly training on communication.  We are thankful for everything they do—and everything they carry.

Back to school at The Marsh Foundation means challenges with Mr. L are back! 💪📚

Our students are starting day one by pushing themselves, working hard and encouraging one another through the challenge. We are excited to carry that same energy, determination and commitment into the classroom and throughout the entire school year!

What an incredible day at The Marsh Foundation! 🐴💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Equine Center Open House. We were grateful to welcome so many friends, families, alumni, partners, and supporters to campus to celebrate this exciting new chapter.

Our Equine Center is more than a new facility. It is a place where children and families can experience hope, healing, learning and growth. It represents another meaningful way we are living out our mission to inspire hope, teach and care for children and families.

We are grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life and to those who joined us to learn more about our programs and celebrate alongside us.

A special thank-you to the Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce for joining us for the official ribbon cutting. It was wonderful to bring both chambers together to celebrate a project that will help us serve children and families throughout our region.

Together, we are building brighter futures! 💙
