Starting PINK today at Lincolnview! Next week we'll be meeting with Crestview and Van Wert also.

This is the start of year 5! A little about me: my name is Alea. I've lived in Van Wert my whole life and I love my community. I have 3 boys so teaching PINK is my only time for girl talk during the day 😂 I like to play guitar. I teach Sunday school at my church. I do community theatre. And my favorite color is purple 💜

If you know any 7th or 8th grade girl that attends a Van Wert county school, encourage her to get involved! Feel free to message me any questions about this awesome program 😊

At its core, Sanctity of Human Life reminds us that:

Every life has beautiful worth, not because of god-given ability, life circumstance, or timing of conception… but simply because it exists.

Life is sacred:

1- before birth
2- during uncertainty and fear,
3- long after a child is born.

Women facing unexpected pregnancies matter! They deserve compassion with care, support and safety, truth about choices, and real heartfelt options- not pressure, shame or the stigma of a label.

Choosing life is often less about principles and more about a community that chooses to walk beside someone when that person feels like they are alone.

At the PLC Health Clinic we want women to know that they matter, that we see them and that we are here to champion for them every step of the way!

This Sunday across the nation churches are choosing to celebrate Sanctity of Human Life and stand boldly to proclaim that life is valuable in all circumstances!

This week in PINK...
We talked about modesty. Modesty is simply a boundary that you set for your speech, behavior and clothing in order to protect yourself and respect others. There is no "one size fits all" for modesty as this concept is widely different amongst cultures and occasions.

How you present yourself matters. We should feel free to express ourselves while also being conscious of the message we are conveying to others. Practicing modesty is a reminder to us and others of where our value lies: in who we are, not what we look like.

When it comes to modesty, self-reflection is essential. Why do I dress the way I dress? Am I being true to myself or chasing a trend? Am I acting this way for someone's approval? Am I comfortable with the way I act or dress? Am I objectifying myself? Am I seeking attention in order to feel good about myself?

Be confident in who you are. If your friends or your clothing doesn't reflect your values, maybe it is time for a change.
