Description: I am a black, unaltered female, who looks like a Cane Corso.
Age: My age is unknown.
More Info: I am in kennel D 05.
I have been at the shelter since Apr 15, 2026.
I was found near Sahara X Sheep Creek in Phelan.

Update.... Etta James LaDye is doing very good. While I was out of town last week she stayed over 5 days at the vet's office Mid Valley Veterinarian Hospital got her new x-rays and had her sutures removed. Thank you Stacy Simpkins for making this possible. 🙏❤️🙏

Dr. Pitt said overall she's doing very well, she's still on a long road to getting back to the dog she was before the injury but he liked her progress so far.

These are the latest x-rays and if you can look close where her knees and the hardware you'll see how far of an angle that they had to cut and move the bones in order to get her knees back in parallel alignment position.

She's still not allowed to get to rambunctious. All walks are on a leash to keep her under control and a slow her down. But she's quite the diva and she expects bedside service for everything and she just loves to lay out in the sun and absorb the vitamin D. We're doing the cold laser therapy twice a day in between her naps, thank you Debbie Zachary Stith for this wonderful gift 🐾❤️🙏.

Total healing process on this is going to be at least 9 months. Idrea Lippman and I cannot thank everyone enough for everything that they've done to help Etta on this long journey. 🐾❤️🐾 .

Help Etta James Heal After Surgery
Etta James LaDye is my loving XXL Bully breed rescue who has already overcome so much in her short life. I found her at the East Valley Animal Shelter after she escaped a difficult situation where she was used for breeding. At just about three years old, Etta had already had an estimated three litters of puppies and was in rough shape when I brought her home. She was very shut down at first, but with time, patience, and lots of love, she has blossomed into an amazing companion. Etta has fit right in with my other rescue pups, showing everyone what Big Girl Love truly means. She’s gentle and caring with her little brother and sister dogs, and it’s been incredible to watch her discover the joys of a safe, loving home—especially the comfort of a couch, instead of the hardships she once knew.

Recently, Etta underwent double TPLO knee surgery to address serious mobility issues. Now, she needs in-home therapy, including laser treatment and acupuncture, to help her heal and regain her strength. These treatments are essential for her recovery, but they come with significant costs. I’m reaching out to our community for help so Etta can get the care she needs to live the happy, pain-free life she deserves. Any support for Etta’s healing journey would mean the world to us. Thank you for helping her get the second chance she deserves!
