Hello Darkroom Fam, we are finally crawling out of our shell after all of the events of the new year. We would like to welcome you all to a new recurring event that we would like to test out called Darkroom Jam where we just get together and work on whatever we are working on together. Feb 20 we will be focusing on B&W Printing. You do need experience to participate but for those of you who would like to learn we have Group Guided Sessions where we can go over the basics with you. Space is limited $35 for 3 hours of printing time. Sign up through our website’s event page. Looking forward to seeing you at the darkroom.

We are deeply saddened by the allegations made against our business and our family. We have spent the past 3 years making an active effort to make a safe and inclusive space for analog photographers in the SFV and beyond. We still believe in these values and we would never want to make anyone feel unsafe or unwelcome and we are devastated by the spread of these accusations. We are turning off comments to preserve the mental health of our family at this moment. I honestly don’t know how to end this post but with love. This is the reason why we built the darkroom and why we wanted to share it with you all. It was because of the love for our family, our community and this beautiful art form.

Attention film nerds!!! We are in for a treat, is setting up shop with his for our and creative showcase from 12nn to 5ish PM on Sunday, December 8. You will be treated to a super intimate with accompaniment by himself. Not going to lie, we are super excited for this! Thanks to our collaborators, for connecting us to this awesome experience. Looking forward to seeing you all. Hang out, check out our vendors, connect with other creatives in the area and of course, catch a (tiny) film.

We are excited to have for “Process”, an event that is designed to hold space so we can process our feelings through Art making. If you value human rights this event is for you. We invite you to join us on Friday Nov. 22, for a safe space to process our thoughts and feelings in light of the recent election results. This is a free event where you can Process:

Your thoughts and emotions with like-minded people

Words that you have been suppressing because of restrictions at work, school or your family unit

And of course, your film

This will be a safe space for us to connect. If you value human rights and are seeking community, show up and share space with us.

Light snacks and tea provided. Donations are welcome to help cover chemistry and food.
