I wanted to get on here and let everyone know that follows my page that all local rescues are suffering. All of us are over full, trying to make sure all the dogs we have get what they need and of course all the love and treats we can give them. This being said, my rescue is full I have 3 female pups and 2 male dogs that need to be fixed right now. I had a wonderful supporter drop off dog food to keep us going but us like all other rescues in the area need help. I am a small rescue but it still costs me over 100 dollars a week to make sure all my fur babies get what they need. I have 226 dollars in my rescue account right now. That will not spay and neuter the dogs here right now. If you support me please donate, if you choose to support other local rescues please do. We do this for the dogs, they deserve so much more than they get being left without anyone to help them. If you give 2.00 dollars to each rescue and everyone does this we will make it another month. Believe me when I say just a small amount matters in this fight to help the ones that can't help themselves. 💗🐕🦮🐕‍🦺
Also I go to sleep and wake up everyday worrying about the dogs in my kennels. I am sure everyone that runs a rescue does the same.

Dexter Dog Rescue loves to hear about updates on our rescues that were adopted. Falkour was sent north on transport a year ago. He found his person, look at him now. He has had training and has become the best fur baby ever. I love to see he swims and the picture of his little tongue poking out made me giggle. What a beautiful dog and amazing story. After needing to wait a bit, Sophia finally got to her new family today. I drove to Bentonville, AR and met her two brothers. She is going to thrive so much better. She will be a house dog now and be the best lap dog. Thank you Karen and Lee you are both amazing, loving people.

Here at our rescue this is what a rescue dog has to deal with (relaxation) She is the best porch dog ever. All our dogs here are enjoying the weather on their beds with water and treats. We had to say goody to our oldest rescue here at Dexter Dog Rescue I cried tears of regret and happiness because I know he isn't suffering anymore. He has been with us since July 2025. His brother(Chuck) and him came to us in July 2025 and we gave Rutkus/Dave the best life that could be had in a dog kennel. He was never forgotten and made comfortable the time that he was here with us. His brother now needs someone to step up and give him a foster care home. He will be missing Dave and we would like him to have his few remaining years in a home, soft bed and comfort. If anyone is interested in giving him some love please reach out. Dexter Dog Rescue will pay for everything so he is happy. Please reach out. Thank you💓
