A great day for LCC agriculture session. The weather was perfect. Thank you Cathy Gifford, Paula Crabtree, Steven Keady and Brandi Davis for planning the day. We visited the VB School District Pointer Green Aqua Farm, Fair Oaks Farm, Parks Greenhouse, Crabtree Farms, U of A Arkansas Vegetable Research Station, Alma High School Agri Barn and ended the day at Arnold’s Family Farm.

What a great day to visit the state capitol. We started the day meeting with our local representatives, Senator Petty, Representatives Rose, Hall, and Puryear. We had the opportunity to meet with our Attorney General and Lt. Governor, visited the Land Commissioner’s office and you can’t go to the capitol without visiting The Vault.

Local Government session last Thursday was a success. The class were put in teams and interviewed nineteen city and county officials. They came back after the interviews and shared what they learned with the class. What eye opening experience to learn what the responsibilities and challenges our city and county officials have. We are blessed to have the best officials! Thank you Rusty Myers for your help. And thank you Arkansas Valley for being our session sponsor and First Western Bank for being our lunch sponsor. Looking forward to going to Little Rock next month for out State Government session.
