You have to see what our friends at Flippin’ Friends Furniture are working on! 🐝🌼

Heather and Marya are creating a bee-inspired table, and we’re excited to follow along as it comes to life. We love seeing people use their creativity to bring attention to bees and the world they help grow.

Thank you both for including Save The Bees USA in this project! We can’t wait to see the finished piece. 💛

Check out their first video, give them a follow, and show them some love!

🐝 NATIVE BEE SPOTLIGHT: SWEAT BEES

📛 NAME
Small sweat bees (Lasioglossum). Their name comes from the attraction some have to the salts in human perspiration.

📏 SIZE
About ⅛ to ⅜ inch long, depending on the species. A worker honey bee is about ½ to ⅝ inch long.

Our pictured comparison: a 0.20-inch sweat bee beside a 0.60-inch honey bee. One-third as long!

📍 REGION
Native species occur across the United States. Which ones you’ll see depends on your region and local habitat. Look for these tiny bees visiting garden flowers.

💛 SWEAT OR SWEET?
Sometimes called “sweet bees,” their commonly recognized name is sweat bees. Either way, these tiny pollinators deserve a closer look!

🌼 HOW TO HELP
Plant flowers native to your area and leave a small patch of undisturbed, bare soil. Many sweat bees nest underground.

🐝 Partnerships like this are exactly what Save The Bees USA is all about.

We are proud to support the UNCG Plant & Pollinator Center at UNC Greensboro as they expand their native pollinator garden this fall.

Protecting pollinators requires more than helping honey bees alone. Native bees, butterflies, and countless other pollinating insects depend on healthy habitat and diverse native plants for food, nesting areas, and survival.

By supporting organizations doing meaningful research, education, and conservation work in their communities, we can help turn individual projects into a much larger nationwide effort.

A huge thank you to the UNCG Plant & Pollinator Center and UNCG Honey Bee Lab for the work you are doing and for allowing Save The Bees USA to play a part in it.

🌼 More habitat.
🐝 More pollinators.
🎓 More education.
🤝 Stronger partnerships.

Together We Protect America’s Bees.

Thank you, Texas Bee Haus, for everything you are doing for your community!

We have beekeepers across the country who are teaching kids, mentoring new beekeepers, and helping their communities better understand the importance of bees and other pollinators. At Save The Bees USA, we want to support those beekeepers however we can and give them the tools and resources they need to keep that education going.

Texas Bee Haus is a great example of exactly what we want to support. We’re excited to have provided them with a new Apimaye hive and even more excited to see how they use it to educate and engage their community.

Thank you for the kind words and, more importantly, for everything you are doing for bees, pollinators, and the next generation of beekeepers!

We want to give a big shoutout to Save The Bees USA for the work they’re doing for pollinators, beekeepers, and our communities! 🐝💛

Through education, pollinator gardens, and support for beekeepers, they’re helping people understand why these insects matter and how we can all help protect them. They’re also connecting beekeepers like us with community organizations so we can share our knowledge and give people a closer look at the fascinating world of bees.

We’re grateful for their support, including the new Apimaye hive they gifted us! Supporting beekeepers is one of the many ways they’re putting their mission into action, and we’re excited to help bring that mission into our community.

If you’ve ever wanted to help pollinators, take a moment to learn about Save The Bees USA and their work. Give them a follow, share their mission, or find a way to get involved. 🌼

🐝 ADOPT A HIVE AND BECOME PART OF ITS STORY!

You don’t have to be a beekeeper to help protect bees.

A healthy honey bee colony requires year-round care... inspections, equipment, pest and disease management, good forage, safe locations, and an experienced beekeeper looking after thousands of bees.

That’s where Save The Bees USA’s Adopt A Hive Program comes in. 🇺🇸🐝

When you symbolically adopt a working hive, your support helps us:

🐝 Support responsible beekeepers and healthy colonies
🌻 Create and improve pollinator habitat
🏫 Bring bee education into schools and communities
🌎 Expand bee and pollinator conservation programs across America

🐝 CHOOSE YOUR ADOPTION

We offer 3 different Adopt A Hive levels, so you can choose the experience and gift package that’s right for you.

Each level supports the same mission but includes different adoption benefits, recognition, updates and Save The Bees USA gifts.

And throughout the year, we keep you connected with photos, stories and updates from the field so you can see the impact your adoption helps make.

🎁 AND YES — YOU CAN GIVE A HIVE AS A GIFT!

An Adopt A Hive sponsorship makes a truly unique gift for:

🎂 Birthdays
🎄 Christmas & holidays
💍 Anniversaries
👨‍👩‍👧 Families
🍎 Teachers
🏢 Employees & clients
🐝 Bee and nature lovers
❤️ Or someone who already has everything!

Instead of another gift that gets put on a shelf, give someone a connection to a living hive filled with thousands of bees — while helping support the work of Save The Bees USA.

One hive. Thousands of bees. A full year of impact.

🐝 Choose from our 3 adoption levels and Adopt A Hive today.

This is exactly why we created the Save The Bees USA Observation Hive Program. 🐝💛
We’re excited to partner with Keira Wagoner and the UNCG Plant & Pollinator Center to bring hands-on bee education directly to students. Seeing kids gather around the hive, ask questions, and experience a living honey bee colony up close is how curiosity turns into understanding—and ultimately conservation.
Thank you, Keira, for bringing pollinator education to life and inspiring the next generation! 🌻🐝
