Dear Twin Lakes,

During the board meeting on Tuesday night, a decision was made to proceed with the demolition and replacement of the Lake Michaela Gazebo.

This gazebo has been a part of our community since its inception, but the costs associated with repairs have become greater than the expenses for a new structure.

With available funding in the reserves designated for this purpose, the board has opted for replacement instead of repair.

In the coming weeks, you will notice the start of the demolition work. While it is bittersweet to bid farewell to the original gazebo, we look forward to the new addition for our community.

Unfortunately, a mature oak tree has fallen within the park; however, we are relieved to report that there were no injuries.

The board is actively seeking bids for the removal of the tree and the repair of the affected outlet junction box.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Tom for confirming that the power to the junction box is off and for promptly notifying our Community Account Manager at Greenacres, Dawn. We also appreciate Jennifer, who immediately reported the fallen tree to the board president.

Dear Homeowners,

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 21, 2026, the HOA common area Saint Augustine grass will be treated for chinch bug activity. Signs will be placed to indicate the areas treated. Please be aware that the reclaimed water irrigation will run for a bit after application, as this treatment requires watering in.

Chinch bugs prefer dry environments, which we are experiencing due to the ongoing drought. As a result, our landscaping company advises homeowners check their yards for signs of chinch bug activity.
