Courtside Ministries Valparaiso Indiana

Courtside Ministries Valparaiso Indiana At Courtside Ministries, we believe that that Christ meets people at their point of physical and spiritual need.

Courtside has prayed for more than 60,000 people, referred more than 7500 to local churches, referred thousands to faith-based human services including food banks, shelters, legal aid and counseling services between Colorado Springs,Chicago and Indiana. As a result, we work to meet the needs of the whole person, physical and spiritual. Here are some of the ways we reach people with the love of Chr

ist:

Praying for individuals as they enter and exit local courthouses –
The truth is, local courthouses are not fun or happy places. People coming into the courts, from judges all the way to defendants, are there because they are dealing with legal problems of some sort. These issues usually bring about fear, frustration, anger, bitterness, loss and uncertainty. We believe the most important thing we can do is pray with and for people entering the courts, offering them the peace and wisdom that comes from being in the presence of the Lord. Providing Scripture and biblical resources –
People dealing with the emotions of legal issues need wisdom, grace, hope and compassion. The only lasting source for these needs comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ and the message found in His Word. At Courtside, we provide Scriptures and biblical resources that enable people to see God’s perspective on the issues they are facing. Providing referrals to local churches based on the location and needs of the people we reach –
A primary goal of Courtside Ministries is to guide people into regular fellowship in a local church that can support their physical and spiritual needs. Courtside works strategically with churches in the community to effectively minister to people and encourage their ongoing involvement in church fellowship. Ongoing followup and support –
Courtside Ministries uses a team of volunteers to contact the people we help to ensure that they are continuing to receive the physical and spiritual support they need. Provide local churches with an active ministry for their members to participate in making an eternal difference in their communities –
The call of every believer is to reach out to those around them with the love and grace of Jesus Christ. As a non-denominational, evangelical Christian ministry, Courtside Ministries offers church members a dynamic way to reach out in their communities with the love of Christ through prayer, volunteer service and giving.

What a perfect day the Lord has made!

We prayed with a woman for her to raise her baby up in the Lord.
A Christian woman asked for God's guidance and direction to find a job. A man asked for prayers, he wanted to draw closer to the Lord and to prepare him to donate a kidney, and that things would go well.

We found ourselves giving directions to the voter registration building.

Another Christian Lady needed prayers for God's guidance and protection over her family. We prayed with a man to draw closer to the Lord, blessing his day. A woman we have prayed with before stopped to visit; she said things were looking much better. A gentleman stopped for prayer, he wanted to draw closer to God, and to help him build friendships. We gave him a Daily Bread.

A woman stopped by asking for prayer, that God would guide her and give her wisdom to make decisions. We gave her a Daily Bread and a Bible. A Lady stopped to visit; she is the director of the 911 center, here in Valparaiso. We prayed with her for God's presence and protection in the office. Two Ladies asked for prayers, for God to bless their children and grandchildren, and help them start a new church. A woman asked for prayer for her husband, that God would help him with his temper, and draw them both closer to God.

We prayed for guidance, direction and protection today. Take a moment and pray to your heavenly Father and pray for each other.

Our first October morning was beautiful. We prayed for 11 people, among them were:

A woman stopped by, she explained she was carrying a burden. She told us her husband was not a believer, so we prayed for his salvation, and for him to feel God's presence in his life. We prayed with a man for his family, that they would experience God's peace, love, and guidance. We gave him a Daily Bread. A Lady wanted prayer for God to bring her family back together and knit them closer. ''The members of a family can teach each other about God''. Deuteronomy 6:4-9. We gave her a Bible, and gave the kids Revive Bibles with wristbands.

A man needed prayers for God to restore his health, and to walk with Jesus as he once did. We gave him a Bible and a Daily Bread. A woman walking her dogs stopped by, she expressed a need to feel God's peace, and his presence in her life. She left with a smile after praying. A husband and wife stopped to visit; they wanted prayers for God's healing as she was recovering from surgery. God is the great physician! A Mom wanted prayers for her son, he went to jail after court. We prayed with her for God's protection. Today's Daily Bread was appropriate, it was about God's divine protection. We showed it to her, and it gave her peace.

We met a man, a non-believer who wanted nothing to do with God. He did agree to prayer that he would see God in his dreams. A gentleman, who worked in the courthouse, asked for prayer that we would all show more love for each other. What a great way to end!

We prayed with 16 people today, starting with a woman who just wanted to praise the Lord for all of the good things God has done in her life. Another woman was worried about whether she would be going to jail, and what would happen to her twin daughters. There were needs for finances, a wounded foot, relationship problems, and direction for a life gone wrong.

There are a lot of hurting people in our community. Reach out to them when you can.

Nobody took pictures today. Sorry.
