The Community Action Drug Coalition of Porter County originally began as the Porter County Task Force on Substance Abuse Awareness in the fall of 1998. Its purpose then was to unite community leaders, chambers of commerce, police, businesses, health care providers, parents, educators, and drug addiction counselors to develop a community wide plan of action for mitigating drug experimentation and subsequent addiction.
