When you join Fly Fishers International, you’re doing more than becoming a member; you’re investing in the future of our fly fishing.

Your $35 annual membership directly supports FFI’s mission to foster the legacy of fly fishing for all fish in all waters through conservation, education, and a strong, growing community of anglers. From protecting fisheries to teaching new fly fishers the skills they need, your support helps keep this work moving forward.
As a member, you’ll also receive FlyFisher, the official publication of FFI. The Winter issue is on the presses and heading to mailboxes shortly. This issue is packed with stories and insight on exploring urban fisheries and the unexpected angling opportunities waiting close to home.

If you believe in the power of fly fishing to connect, restore, teach, and inspire, we’d be honoured to have you with us.

Visit flyfishersinternational.org to become a member and make a difference today!

Kudos to Brent Young on his personal best 42” red today. Great catch on a 10 weight and a topwater.

The Jack tournament (13 Sep) will be $20. It starts at daylight, and you must be at Gregg's house no later than 1pm.

Must be caught on a fly reel. I encourage those who want to participate to find a fishing partner. That way you can get a picture of your fish, and it helps build more comraderie within the club.

There will be three categories:
1. Biggest fish
2. Most fish
3. Smallest fish

Each will be 5 dollars ($15), and the last 5 dollars is to help offset the cost of lunch. We will have pork butt and a few other items. More to follow with the lunch items as we get closer.

***YOU MUST pay before the tournament to enter. I can collect your entry fees at the next few meetings before the tournament. I'll start a roster of who's paid. Please pay before the tournament as you will not be entered in without paying first.

If you do not want to fish in the tournament but would like to come to the cookout please bring $5 to help offset the cost of food and drinks.

Good Project Healing Waters and Panhandle Fly Fishers meetings last night. We tied some mouse patterns for bass fishing, out of elk hair.

We then had a great discussion about boat ownership and etiquette using Brent's boat.

There are a couple of changes on the schedule due to Labor Day coming up. We will skip the 1 September meeting and push that to the following Monday (8 SEP).

We have a Jack tournament scheduled for 13 Sep (SAT). We will then have our joint meeting on the 22nd of September instead of on the 15th. The reason why is there are five Mondays in September.

*Aug 18th - Joint Meeting
*Sep 8th - PHW & PHFF meetings
*Sep 13th - Jack tournament
* Sep 22nd - Joint meeting
