Since 2007, our Council has annually recognized individuals and clubs for their efforts to promote and advance fly fishing, fly tying, conservation and community.

Our 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 recognizes a club that has been very active in contributing to the community, such as participating in conservation projects, or involvement with charitable organizations.

For 2026, this honor goes to the Panhandle Flyfishers club in Destin, FL. PFF is a very active and engaged club, and the Elgin AFB sponsor for Project Healing Waters. This program involves military veterans and active duty volunteers and promotes fly fishing to build community and foster fellowship. PFF facilitates monthly fly tying programs at the Intrepid Spirit Center at Elgin AFB for veterans suffering from TBI and PTSD. The club also supports the local Boy Scouts Jamboree to promote fly fishing.
