Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that uses gentle, repetitive movements along with slow breathing and relaxation. Itโ€™s a little like a combination of stretching, mindfulness, and calming movement.

You donโ€™t need to be athletic, flexible, or able to follow complicated directions to participate.

For neurodivergent children, the idea is to give the brain and body a chance to slow down and work together. The predictable movements and breathing can provide calming sensory input and help a child become more aware of their body. Over time, it may support things like self-regulation, focus, sleep, anxiety, emotional regulation, and sensory processing.

We are going to practice this during our open gym time on Sunday, October 18th from 11 AM till 12 PM. Young adults, are walking club will happen during this time as well. Feel free to also join us for Qigongโฃ๏ธ
