Our September meeting hosted Dan and Phil Smith who shared their mother's quilting with our membership. Lois Smith began her quilting journey at 50 and went on to become an award winning quilter and teacher. She won the first best of show in Houston for a machine quilted work. It was a inspiring talk as we heard about what the quilts meant to the family and what inspired her as a quilter. He ended his talk with advice to quilters. Shout out to members of Heritage Quilt Guild in Crown Point for joining us.
