⚠️Weather Warning ⚠️

Our teams at the 96th Weather Squadron are keeping a close eye on Tropical Depression Two down in the northeastern Gulf of America. As of today, July 20, it’s about 152 nautical miles south and brings sustained winds of 30 knots as it slowly makes its way northwest.

Keep this helpful information in mind to stay safe and informed:

💠 Heavy rain and thunderstorms could cause some localized street flooding and make commutes a bit tricky with low visibility. Give yourself extra time on the roads!
💠 Sustained winds may get up to 34 knots starting late Tuesday night and going into Wednesday morning. Secure any loose outdoor items around your home or workspace.

‼ Watches in Effect:

💠The 96 WS has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for Eglin Air Force Base and Duke Field.
💠The National Weather Service has also issued a Tropical Storm Watch for the coastal areas of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties.

Request for Bids – Janitorial Cleaning Services

The Valparaiso Community Center is accepting bids from qualified cleaning companies for bi-weekly janitorial services.

Scope of Services

The selected contractor will provide routine cleaning of the community center, including but not limited to:

Vacuuming and mopping all floors
Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
Cleaning kitchen surfaces and sinks
Dusting furniture, tables, chairs, and fixtures
Cleaning mirrors, windows (interior as needed), and glass doors
Emptying all trash receptacles and replacing liners
Wiping and disinfecting high-touch surfaces
General cleaning to maintain a professional appearance

The facility is approximately 4,000 square feet and includes:

Main meeting/event room
Kitchen
Restrooms
Entry/lobby areas
Hallways and common areas
Bid Requirements

References (preferred)
Price for bi-weekly cleaning service
Any additional services offered
Availability and estimated start date

The Valparaiso Community Center Board is seeking qualified and licensed contractors to provide labor and materials for the renovation of the Community Center kitchen.

Project Scope

The selected contractor will be responsible for:

Demolition and removal of the existing kitchen cabinets, countertops, flooring, and other materials as necessary.
Preparing the space for installation of new finishes.
Installing owner-supplied kitchen cabinets.
Supplying and installing new countertops.
Supplying and installing new kitchen flooring.
Completing all necessary trim, adjustments, and finish work for a professional installation.
Hauling away demolition debris and maintaining a clean work site throughout the project.
Materials

The Community Center has already purchased the new kitchen cabinets. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing all remaining materials required to complete the project unless otherwise agreed upon.

Contractor Requirements

Interested contractors should provide:

Proof of Florida contractor licensing (if applicable).
Proof of liability insurance.
References from similar renovation projects.
Estimated project timeline.
Itemized quote for labor and materials.
Warranty information on workmanship.

A site visit is encouraged prior to submitting a quote.
