Camp Butternut Springs is accredited by the American Camp Association. Camp Butternut Springs is located just outside of Valparaiso, Indiana. It’s in the perfect spot being both in the backyard of our members in Indiana as well as being easy to get to from just about anywhere in the Chicago region. ating, and numerous hiking trails. If you’re entering grades 1 – 12, we’ve got a spot just for you. All programs include the outdoor activities you love; swimming, cookouts, songs, campfires and making new friends. Learn to work together solving problems and making decisions while hiking around camp or trying out the low-element challenge course. Progressive outdoor skills and backcountry trip opportunities give girls the opportunities to try new things in a natural environment. Campers sleep in buildings/lodges or platform tents depending on program. Staff also sleep in the buildings/lodges or nearby tents. All living areas will include modern restroom facilities.
