As the colder months approach, Good Grace Ministries is once again opening our Amazon Wish List to help meet the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness and families struggling to make ends meet.

Throughout the year, we're blessed with opportunities to serve people across multiple cities and counties. Some are experiencing homelessness, some are facing unexpected hardships, and others are simply doing everything they can to make it through another day.

And sometimes, the smallest act of kindness can make the biggest difference.

Our Amazon Wish List helps us keep essential items on hand so that when we encounter someone in need, we're prepared to help.

Our hope is to build up a surplus of necessities before Thanksgiving so that when we head out to serve, we have plenty to give to those we encounter.

We don't want to just meet a need when it arises. We want to be prepared to meet it before someone even has to ask.

Love our Wednesday nights!

My heart is so full after Bible study. ❤️

There is just something special about sitting together in a home, opening our Bibles, reading Scripture together, and talking through what God’s Word actually says.

Tonight we were in Matthew 6, but we also went into James, Timothy, and other Scriptures as we studied. We weren’t looking for someone’s opinion or trying to make Scripture fit what we wanted it to say. We read it together, talked through it together, asked questions, and learned from one another.

And I couldn’t help but think about the early church:

“They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” — Acts 2:42

“They broke bread from house to house, and ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.” — Acts 2:46

That is fellowship. That is discipleship. That is the body of Christ coming together around His Word.

The church has never simply been a building. We are the church. Scripture says we are the body of Christ, and every one of us has a part in that body (1 Corinthians 12:27).

And right now, more than ever, I believe the body of Christ needs to remember who the real enemy is.

There is already enough division in this world. We should not be creating more of it within the body of Christ. Scripture tells us to “endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3), and warns us about causing division among believers.

We should be encouraging people to get into the Word. Encouraging fellowship. Encouraging prayer. Encouraging discipleship. Encouraging Christians to serve their communities, share the Gospel, love people, and grow closer to Jesus.

I truly believe we are living in the last days, and none of us knows the day or the hour when our Lord will return. Jesus told us plainly, “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.” — Matthew 24:42

There are people who still need Jesus.

There are people who need to hear the Gospel.

There are hurting people who need to see the love of Christ lived out in front of them.

That is where our energy belongs.

Jesus Christ came, died for our sins, rose again, and salvation is found in Him. THAT is the message that matters.

So whether we are gathering inside a church building, around a kitchen table, in someone’s living room, or anywhere else believers come together in His name, may we open His Word, pray together, break bread together, encourage one another, serve together, and keep pointing people to Jesus.

“Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together... and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” — Hebrews 10:24–25

The Day is approaching.

There is too much Kingdom work to do and too many people who need Jesus for the body of Christ to spend valuable time tearing one another apart.

Let’s get back to the Word.
Let’s get back to fellowship.
Let’s get back to making disciples.
Let’s get back to loving people.
And above all, let’s keep our eyes on Jesus. ❤️🙏
