About 1 in 6 children in the United States has a developmental disability.

That means families with special needs are not rare. They are our neighbors, classmates, friends, and community members.

At The Sunshine Center, we are here to create a place where children are not just included, but truly seen, supported, and celebrated.

Camp is this Friday, and we are so excited!

For parents of kids with special needs, camp can bring a mix of hope, nerves, and a thousand little questions.

Will they be understood? Will they be included? Will they be safe? Will someone see what makes them wonderful?

That is why The Sunshine Center matters. Every child deserves a camp experience where they are not just accommodated, but celebrated.

Did you know?

About 1 in 6 children in the United States has a developmental delay, disorder, or disability. Research shows that early identification and intervention can improve health outcomes and reduce the need for services later in life.

That's why early support matters so much.

When children receive the right therapies, resources, and encouragement early on, they're given more opportunities to develop skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

At the Sunshine Center, we believe every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive, and that journey often begins long before adulthood.
