Virginia “Dago” Day was a pioneer for every female—young or old—who loves this lifestyle. She started hanging around in the nucleus of the real beginnings of the MC world—the post World War II years in Los Angeles—when she was just 16. She would be integral to the Boozefighters MC and to the Yellow Jackets MC, always present and supportive socially and at races. She would marry the legendary “Fat Boy” Nelson (who would be tragically killed on his bike in the late 1950s). She delivered blueprints in Los Angeles on her motorcycle! But most importantly, from her earliest years until her passing she truly made what we do a way of life. She lived for bikes and bikers.
