TAILWAGGIN THURSDAY 🐾🦇

Meet Lucy! She's a petite pittie mix who is sweeter than Halloween candy and rocks her bat ears that would win any costume contest.

She’s in love with life, the people in it, and honestly just loves being included in whatever fun you’ve got going on. Lucy is the kind of girl who believes the best place to be is wherever her people are. Adventures? She’s in. Making new friends? Absolutely. Cozying up for some quality time? Her favorite. She’s social, affectionate, and enjoys the company of other dogs too. She’s basically a professional best friend with a spooky‑season twist.

At 5 years old, Lucy has that perfect mix of fun‑loving spirit and grown‑up sweetness. She’s joyful, gentle, and ready to share her whole heart with a family who will adore her right back. And this Halloween, she’s ready to charm her way into someone’s life, no tricks, all treats.

And now through October 31st, you can “Bob for Your Bestie”!
CCAS has partnered with Subaru Loves Pets Ken Ganley’s of North Olmsted & Bedford to bring you a fun fall adoption special:

Pick your apple and receive $25, $35, or $45 off our regular $95 adoption fee.

🐾❤️FOSTER FRIDAY ❤️ 🐾

Meet Nebula 🌌, a spunky 3½-month-old Hound mix who is truly the life of the party! Wherever the action is, Nebula wants to wholeheartedly participate, though she is also a pro at busily entertaining herself for long periods with her toys and zooming around. While she lives life to the fullest while awake, she crashes hard when tired, taking solid naps, falling asleep quickly, and sleeping peacefully through the night.

Very smart and highly food-motivated, Nebula responds wonderfully to food rewards. Because she is an energetic, athletic, and busy hound puppy who can be a bit rambunctious, jumpy, and mouthy, she will thrive best in an active household that is committed to solid, consistent management, daily mental and physical exercise, and a structured routine. Due to these exuberant puppy behaviors, Nebula is looking for an adult-only home or one with teenagers. She also may have some hearing challenges, so her foster mom has already started teaching her simple hand gestures to help with communication. Nebula currently enjoys interacting with a large adult dog in her foster home and would do best in an adoptive home with an established, similarly sized resident dog to show her the ropes—no small dogs, please!

October 10-31, CCAS has partnered with Ken Ganley Subaru of Bedford & Subaru of North Olmsted to bring you “Bob for Your Bestie!” Bob for an apple and see what you get:
🍎 $25, $35 or $45 OFF our $95 adoption fee!

Please note that Nebula is not available for same-day meet and greets. If you are interested in learning more about her or potentially scheduling a meet and greet, please email the foster team at [email protected] today!

TAILWAGGIN THURSDAY 🐾

When it comes to pit bulls, LOVE isn’t just a word , it’s their whole personality. 🥰

October is Pit Bull Awareness Month, and we’re celebrating the dogs who redefine what it means to be loyal, goofy, affectionate, and endlessly devoted.

From the blocky heads to the wiggly butts to the “I love you more than anything on earth” snuggles, pit bulls have a way of turning everyday moments into pure joy. They love big, they love boldly, and they love without hesitation and that’s exactly what we’re honoring this month.

To celebrate, we’re spelling out LOVE the best way we know how: with the faces of some of our incredible pitties. Each one has a story, a personality, and a heart that deserves to be seen, understood, and appreciated.

Pit bulls aren’t just part of our shelter, they’re part of our family. And this October, we’re shining a light on everything that makes them extraordinary!

Because if you’ve ever loved a pit bull… you know exactly what LOVE looks like ❤️
