Today, the third of Tammuz, marks thirty-two years since the passing of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory.
In Hebrew, the word for heart is lev, which has a numerical value of thirty-two.
The heart is more than just another organ. It is the source of life for the entire body, pumping vitality and energy from the head to the very tips of the toes.
In much the same way, the Rebbe served as the heart of the Jewish people, inspiring every person he encountered with a deeper sense of life, purpose, and mission; regardless who they were.
And like the heart, his love is not merely spoken about, it is felt. It is expressed through his guidance, encouragement, and genuine concern for every individual.
As we mark this day, let us take this message to heart. May we continue the Rebbe's vision by bringing more goodness and kindness into the world, helping prepare it for the Redemption we all long for.
