Kesher Families was inspired by the over 100 families who contacted the Penners to talk about having a loved one who is LGBTQ+. Even more families have approached the Penners for support since the podcast on 18Forty with Rabbi Penner and their son, Gedalia. A
ll of our support for families is free of charge. We currently offer individual family sessions, closed support groups, a biweekly drop in support group, and in-person and online awareness and chizzuk events. Our groups are facilitated by licensed mental health practitioners. To schedule an intake, please contact our office at 833-537-4373x2, or you can email [email protected]. While in conversation with Kesher staff you will likely share private aspects of your life. We are honored to have you share with us and understand that confidentiality is a major concern for you. All communication between Kesher staff and the families we serve is kept private and confidential, shared outside of Kesher only as required by law in cases of a threat to someone's life or wellbeing.
