Essay topics by age groups. Remember you can be running for a contest for the 2027 season or a current rodeo Queen.

13-17: Tell us about one time that you shined.
(This does not need to be rodeo queen related)

This is the 2nd year for Live Like Lilly organizations to be a part of Scholarship Night. Reading your essays, Lilly taught you so many different things. She taught you how to smile, how to laugh, and how to find joy in everything.

She encouraged this class to come out of your shell and be yourself. She taught you courage — the courage to stand up for what is right.

Lilly was your light. A brightness that followed her, and she shared it with all of you. And while we all miss her, this senior class can honor her by carrying the lessons she taught you — by choosing joy, showing kindness, lifting others up, and being a light for the people around you.
