We are a foster Based animal rescue organization. We have applied for a non profit 503c3 status, which is pending. and why the name Paws for Julia? Lets take a moment to formally introduce ourselves. Julia Sounders, founder of Kate's Rescue for Animals passed away suddenly on September 20, 2021. The rescue community lost and amazing person that day. Kate's Rescue volunteers attempted to move forwa

rd; however, it became clear that there were different goals. Some wanted to follow in Julia's footsteps, saving those animals who needed a little more help than others. Other volunteers had different ideas and plans; therefor, a parting of ways occurred. We decided to honor Julia and her wishes the best way we knew how. This is how "Paws for Julia Rescue" was formed we know we have a huge footsteps to follow, but we will do everything we possibly can to make her proud. We want to keep her dream of alive in her memory. Julia was a mentor to most of us and we loved her dearly. paws for Julia is a tribute to our dear friend. OUR MISSION:

Is to bring our community together for the benefit of animals safety and rights by utilizing a multi-tier strategy, which includes community education for fostering, adoptions, spay and neuter programs, nutrition, behavioral and training and breed awareness. We strengthen our community through advocacy, education, foster home placement and volunteerism. If you are interested in helping us accomplish our mission, please contact us. 🚨 Foster / Foster-to-Adopt / Rescue Help Needed 🚨

We are really needing some help with this sweet boy. Even another rescue stepping up would mean so much right now.

Last week this young dog followed my daughter home. We immediately checked for a microchip — no chip and he is not neutered. We posted him everywhere, including local lost and found pages and Nextdoor. A few people reached out and told us they believed he belonged to a family down the street that had recently moved in.

So I went down there to ask them directly. At first the lady outside said they were not missing a dog and asked what kind of dog I was talking about. I showed her a picture and explained that several people had told me he belonged there. The story then changed to “the owner isn’t home” and “she wasn’t sure.” She then asked if I wanted him or if I could just leave him there.

This sweet boy was clearly living outside and is underweight. Since this was not the first time he had gotten out, I let them know I would take him and help find him a safe and loving home instead of leaving him stuck outside.

Now we really need help. I cannot keep taking on more here. We are overwhelmed and desperately need either:🐾 A foster🐾 A foster-to-adopt🐾 Or another rescue willing to step in

Happy Monday everyone. We hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

First, we want to start by thanking all of our veterans and all those currently serving. We appreciate your sacrifice and dedication more than words can say. ❤️🤍💙

We have a few updates over here at Paws for Julia Rescue. Our events this last weekend were a little slow, but we did have one puppy find a wonderful forever home, and that always makes it worth it. 🐾 We will be back out again this coming weekend, so keep watching our page for updates on where we will be.

This is also the week the Mermaid puppies will officially be ready! We are so excited and hoping to find these sweet babies the best forever homes possible.

Now for an update on sweet Ariel. Sadly, she is not ready yet due to the health issues she has been battling. She is doing much better, but she is still having breathing issues from her narrow trachea. We now have home pet oxygen if needed, and we are praying that as she grows, her trachea will grow with her.

Right now she is still on medications every four hours along with steam showers, oxygen treatments, and nebulizer treatments. Through it all, Ariel continues to be the biggest snuggle bug and loves being close to her people. 💕

She does enjoy going outside, but because of her condition, she is only allowed outside in the early mornings while it is still cool and again later at night. Even then, playtime has to stay very short.

Please continue to keep sweet Ariel in your prayers as she keeps fighting and getting stronger every day. Thank you all so much for the love, support, donations, and prayers you continue to give these babies. 🐶

FOUND DOG – PLEASE SHARE ❤️

This sweet young boy was found today on Gwin St in Paloma around the mailboxes. He followed my daughter up the hill, so we brought him somewhere safe for now.

We have checked for a microchip and sadly he is not chipped or neutered. He looks very young and is such a sweet boy. He has done amazing with the cats and other dogs so far and just wants love and attention.

He is safe with us right now, but we would really love to find his family. We know someone has to be missing this handsome boy.

🚨 Attention Followers! 🚨

Bandit here! 🐾 I want to invite all of you out to celebrate Memorial Day weekend with me and all my rescue friends! ❤️🤍💙

Come meet me and some of my buddies this Saturday, 5/23/25, at PetSmart on McHenry in Modesto from 11am–3pm! We will have lots of adorable faces looking for forever homes, and I promise I’ll be the cutest little greeter around. 😉

BUT WAIT… that’s not all!

We will also be in Valley Springs on Sunday, 5/24/25, from 10am–3pm at the Fabulous Finds parking lot on the corner of Highway 12 & 26! You won’t miss our canopy!

Not only can you come hang out with us pups, but there will also be vendors, yummy food, and lots of fun! 🐶🎉

So grab your family, friends, and maybe even your current fur babies, and come spend the weekend with us! We can’t wait to see everyone!

Update on sweet Ariel 💔

Our little Ariel is currently being hospitalized and is in critical condition. She is on oxygen and medications right now while the vets do everything they can for her. Ariel has aspiration pneumonia and a very narrow trachea, making it very hard for her to breathe.

We are desperately needing help to save this sweet girl. Right now we only have an estimate, and we know there will be more expenses to come. We are also needing to order oxygen equipment for home care for these sweet babies. At this time we are starting with oxygen tanks just to help get sweet Ariel through this critical stage. We will be setting up a fundraiser soon for a larger oxygen setup and tent, but right now Ariel is our main focus.

Please, if anyone can help, we are begging for support to give this baby a fighting chance. Every donation, share, and prayer means the world to us right now.

🚨 We need help and prayers please. 🚨

We are rushing our little Ariel to the vet right now. She is having issues breathing and we are very worried about our sweet girl. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. 💔🐾

This is a completely unexpected emergency expense, and we are struggling to stay afloat right now. If anyone can help with her vet care, we would be beyond grateful. Every little bit helps.

We will update everyone after we see the vet and will also post the estimate as soon as we receive it.

These adorable puppies are Chihuahua/Terrier mixes and are about 3 months old. They are learning to use potty pads, love playing with toys, and are full of puppy kisses and fun personalities.
