After some children found a young American Kestrel, they tried helping her by feeding her. What they didn't know is that she was learning behaviors that would make her non-releasable.

If you find an injured or orphaned animal, please contact a professional wildlife rehabilitation as soon as possible.

Help us INSPIRE THE FUTURE of conservationists! 💭🦉🌳

Our previous grant funding for underserved schools isn’t available for this upcoming school year. Last year, we were able to put on $40,000 worth of free programming for students. But without that money, at least 10,000 students will miss out on the opportunity to be inspired by our raptors and nature.

Join us for Rolling 4 Raptors — a Dungeon & Dragons one shot live-streamed on Twitch to fundraise FOR THE KIDS!

Tag your favorite d&d creators and players to help us spread the word!

American Barn Owls are s*xually dimorphic, meaning that you can tell a male from a female apart just by looking at them. We can tell what their s*x is as soon as they start getting fuzzy. Females have darker facial discs and tan fluff, and males have lighter faces and white fluff. As they grow up, you can see the darker chest feathers coming through on the female, while the males chest stays white.

We breed American Barn Owls for release into the wild in Missouri. This species faces dangers from habitat loss and rodent poisoning. You can help by simply not using rodent poison, educating others to not use it, and by supporting places that participate in conservation efforts like World Bird Sanctuary.

Did you know that many scientists consider Vietnam Pheasants extinct in the wild? These birds haven’t been seen in the wild for over 25 years. 😱

But we’re working to change that! We’re partnering with Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens to support and reintroduce this critically endangered species back into their natural habitat.

To remember and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for us. 🦅Happy Memorial Day!🦅: Patriot📸: Stu Goz
