Todays out of control. “Controlled” burn. Just because we’ve had a little rain doesn’t mean it won’t burn!!! The grass is a tender box waiting for a spark right now!!

If you’re board at home there is a car and truck show with food trucks at the high school. Vendors as well!!

Units are clear from a Mutual Aid with China Spring, and Speegleville. Landowner burned yesterday and wind shifts from the front pushed it out of control. Big fire response from all mutual aid departments kept it contained and prevented more loss!! Red Flag conditions will continue thru tonight with ultra low humidity and strong Northern winds.

Only 2 more days. Fun, good food, awesome fellowship!! Best thing going in Bosque and McLennan county by far!!! Bring the kids. Chili starts at 5 and bingo at 7!!! Lots of fabulous prizes!!! We look forward to seeing everyone!!!

We were dispatched to 2 separate wildfire this afternoon. One caused by an old burn pile and the other sparked by power lines!! Please be mindful of anything that sparks!!! We were assisted by China Spring and West Shore!! 4 Valley Mills wildland trucks and 1 Valley Mills Tender!! If you see smoke dial 911 immediately as the quicker response the smaller the fire become!!!

Please use extreme caution with fireworks!!! Under Texas Law you are responsible for any property damages caused by your negligence!!! We’ve had numerous wildfires the past few weeks, with no relief insight!!! All it takes is a spark!

🔥 BURN BAN IN EFFECT FOR BOSQUE COUNTY 🔥

The Bosque County Commissioners have voted to place the County under a Burn Ban. No outdoor burning is permitted.

With dry and windy conditions, we urge everyone to take extra precautions to prevent fires:
🚫 Do NOT burn outdoors – this includes brush piles, trash, and campfires.
🚗 Secure trailer chains & wires to prevent sparks from dragging.
🚬 Properly dispose of ci******es – never toss them out of a vehicle.
